For the past year I have been playing a mobile video game called Transformers: Battle Tactics. This game is available through the Google play store as well as the Samsung android app store. The game is officially and fully licensed by the company Habro. For the past few months the game has been getting worse and worse content wise, as well as having many "bugs" appearing in the game itself. Many players noticed that this same action was done last year right before DeNA shut down another one of their games. Many players asked asked the companies representitives through the games forums if the game would be shutting down. DeNA constantly reassured players that this was not the case. About 2 and a half weeks ago I used real money to purchase in-game gold to use in this game. I emailed the company to make sure this was not the case and was reassured. A week later it was announced by them that the game was ending and that no one would be able to use their gold, or get a refund. I have all the emails to prove this. I have been lied to and my money stolen by a company that claims to be reputable. After contacting Hasbro I was able to learn that DeNA had not made any plans to renew this game as early as last December. They lied to the players, sold in-game currency and items that they knew players would not be able to use. They also planned on keeping their shop open as long as possible to get as much money as possible from the players before finally making their announcement about the game ending.

POSTED: Tuesday, March 01, 2016

I as well have been playing transformers battle tactics since march of 2015 i made 2 transactions during last event it was between february 18 to february 25, 2016 one on the 18th the other one on the 19th both 100 dollar transactions i had plenty of gold and energon left from the event before this event i used that to obtain event reward bots also put points on the board for league play. The point I am trying to make here is i made those transactions figuring i would save it for next event right? Which i still got around 190 dollars worth of gold plus energon. Then we find out that dena was shutting this game down on february 25th 2016 the day the event had closed. Well wait a minute here, no warning update or nothing Dena did not let players know they were shutting down this game before this event? So what I'm i going to do with the 190 dollars i have left on the books? I was figuring there was another event! I contacted Dena to get a refund they shot that down by email saying read there mobain coin policy. Well I agree with everything report #1290819 is saying i guess I'm out the money I've spent unless something can be done.

Here is as message as it can be found on the DeNA forums. Located at forums.dena.com/showthread.php/32967-Event-Update-2-17!/page7 Hi everyone, I know this post might get removed, and I’ll be banned from the forms… But this needs to be told to everyone. Everyone has been asking Nick/DeNA about the longevity of the game, and calling them out due to the missteps they’ve taken with the game, to make it seem like a last ditch cash grab. So I did some home work. I’ve called and spoken with Hasbro in Canada and USA over the last week, and found & confirmed a few things. The contract with Hasbro and DeNA is up for renewal, with the current one having a little more then a month left. With this said, extensions can be given if “Talks” look promising and a new agreement between the two companies can be reached in a timely manner. If a new agreement is reached before the current contract expires, everything continues on.  “At this time, it doesn’t look like any beneficial agreement well be reached, before the current contract expires” – Hasbro USA With this, I’m sure we the players aren’t too surprised. Even more so with all the anti-friendly dissections DeNA has made. Since DeNA knows this and hasn’t told the player base, and is still letting people buy the in-game currency “Gold” is unacceptable. Before I posted this I sent an email to Google Play and iTunes, telling them that the game is ending, but DeNA is still taking players money. In that email, I also included the names and phone numbers to the Account Managers so they can confirm everything.  I professionally believe that DeNA should not be allowed to have any kind of payment options for the game, unless they make it clear that the game might/will be ending by the end of next month. And I don’t mean with some hidden post in a form. Have a in-game notice, a notice in the app stores and when a player goes to make a purchase.  I hope this stays up long enough for people to read and pass along, since I may be banned from the forms. But we the players deserve better then what we’ve been given.
