Dental Care of Berlin, LLC Leslie Flahaven Dental Facility doing unnecessary costly work and out for a buck West Berlin New Jersey

On 30 Mar 2015, my 19 year old step-son was having lots of pain and needed a tooth pulled.  I decided to try my sister’s dentist, Dental Care of Berlin, NJ.  I lived over 12 years in Okinawa and was not familiar with dentist in the area.  The receptionist was not able to give me an appointment that day, but made one for  1 Apr. 

I took him to his appointment and he spent approximately 45 minutes in the back presumably seeing the dentist about his tooth and having it extracted.   After he was done, the receptionist called me up to the desk and handed me a bill of $5,600 of work my son needed done.  What they did without my approval was give my son several x-rays and an exam and did not pull his tooth for a cost I was told of $69. 

My son was in ENMOROUS pain and they could care less and continued with the x-rays he told me.  Luckily his tooth was not infected, because they were more concerned with finding ways to make money.  They remind me of a crooked car repair shop looking to do unnecessary work to make a buck.

  Well I was very pissed off and said what about pulling his tooth in which they told us we would have to make another appointment.  I had to take off work to take my son to this “dentist” and I use the word loosely.  So I couldn’t get off tell 6 Apr and took him back.  He didn’t have too much problem from the extraction and the office offered nothing for the pain.  

You know when we lived on Okinawa my son had a stone in a gland in his mouth which was so infected that he would have died within a couple of days due to the swelling of his throat.  The dental facility on Camp Foster on Okinawa is exceptional and treats people with great care. 

My view of stateside dentists has now been tainted by this place.  I have a bill of $196 for a tooth extraction.  STAY AWAY FROM  DENTAL CARE OF BERLIN in WEST BERLIN NEW JERSEY.  They will do unnecessary work and I now don’t believe are qualified to be in business. 

The “dentist” in this office was a Leslie Flahaven. Also, they have a big sign right on the sidewalk saying free exam worth $170.  Like I said this office is more concerned about making money and not concerned with the well being of the patients.
