If they did such a thing, I highly doubt that I would write this, because it would be unnecessary. Secondly, we pay for the police departments, so if they "pay for the system with the DMV" ultimately, that means we are paying for it as well. Notification of you're driving status is NOT obtainable for free, but lack of knowing that information can be used against you on the road, and at a later date, to possibly be used against you in a court of law. If a police officer uses bias to regulate drivers (the computer sways them to one side) then it is the right of the individual being in the position of disciplinary action that should also be aware of the bias used against them. I'm happy to have that opinion "a person's licence should be revoked if they don't keep track of their points." In the USA, there are people working 2 jobs to stay alive in this recession, and I think that if $300+ was going to be taken from them, they should be entitled to a FREE RIGHT of whether or not they are going to have bias formed against them. Do yourself a favor.. learn how to talk to everyone, it seems you are unable to take into account the other people in the nation that might not be as fortunate as you are, where this could be a devestating series of months for $300. A larger majority of the citizens in the country are undereducated than educated, and if you go into any major city, you can see that "not needing to help them get their information" has destroyed the country. Think about this.. There are commercials on TV, ad campeigns, and all sorts of other notices from banks to "check your credit report!" Why is that? Because being aware of you're mistakes makes you more capable of fixing them.

You do not have to "investigate" your driving record. Every time you get a Citation or points on your license DMV sends out a letter and updates you as to what is going on, If you are having so much trouble driving and keeping track of your Citations then maybe your right to drive should be revoked. I Know exactly what My driver license history says, ZIP, Notta, Zilch. Your credit report is free to you once a year and any time there is a turn down for credit. The only difference I can see here is that you do not get a free peak at your driver license every year.

Police Officers are upholding the law and have every right to run you,they have an agreement with DMV AND DO PAY FOR the right to keep the Data system that runs your license and history. Police departments must Pay a yearly fee for that computer and Keep their certification updated to run the system, So they actually do end up paying for that right to run your license and its more then $20 a year.

And lastly You can be ""Up to date on how your Driver License looks and all", But an officer is going to go by that little computer screen and if it says something that does not fly, No matter how much you talk and appear to know what the database says its not going to matter, the officer is going to do his job and go by what the DMV computer is saying at the time he ran you. Not what you were told 4 weeks ago on some piece of paper.
