Tried Deposit Photos. Didn't work out so well. They definitely ripped me off!

I clicked to download the smallest picture for 1 credit. I had no credits so they took me to a page to buy 30 of them (they also have monthly plans which they try to fool you into buying so that they keep billing you forever, as stated in other ripoff reports).

Bought the credits and the only way to get back to the photo I wanted to buy was to hit the back button. When I got back to the page with the picture I needed I clicked download again, but I didn't notice that it had switched to highlight the XL version automatically, which was 10 credits (about $10) as opposed to the 1 credit version that I needed.

I didn't download the big version, and went back and bought/downloaded the 1 credit version.

Sent them an email saying the 10 credit version was bought in error because their page defaults to the big XL 10 credit version, instead of not defaulting to anything.

They told me that there were no refunds.

When I told them that they should have none chosen by default, the manager (Lisa) told me:

The XL-size was chosen to be the one by default because research shows that it is the most popular size among our clients.

Right. They are obviously hoping to make a lot of money off people like me who only need the smallest versions of the photos by making their site default ot the larger photos.

They offered me a single picture of any size when I told them I was going to post here. That's a $1 refund for the $10 they ripped me off for, since I only need the smallest versions of photos.

Don't use depositphotos.com! They'll eventually get you, too.
