I purchased this computer on the 10/17/2000 and received it 10/24/2000. When I received it the CPU fan was disconnected and banging around inside the computer. I contacted the company numerous times to try to get it returned and fixed. The CPU and Motherboard were definatly damaged because visible damage was apparent. I finally got them to issue an RMA to get it repaired on the 27th of October.

They would not let me return it for credit. I didnt even use this computer. I had it one minute before I noticed the problem. I had to foot the cost for shipping it back to them. They tried to charge me a 25 dollar service fee even though I purchased a 2 year warantee. The computer was sent back to the company on 10/27/2000 and I received the computer back on 11/20/2000. Everything was replaced but the processor.

The processor has very apparent scratches and chips on it. A new processor should not have scratches and chips on it. I purchased this new and feel that everything should be new. Shipping insurance is for this very reason and UPS offers insurance. I feel this companys technical support does a very very very poor job with dealing with technical support issues. The customer support is also very bad.

They are also telling me that a return is probably not going to be possible because I have had the computer over the 30 days limit. I have had this computer for a combined 6 days. The rest of the time it has been in shipping or had been at desert devils being repaired.

Do not buy from www.desertdevils.com. If you do you are in for a bad experience.
