Beware....DHL those yellow and red vans you see beware if they come delivering something to your door.
Here is what happened to me....

I received a package from a person in Las Vegas, Neveda they sent it express DHL. Today in the mail I get a bill from DHL for the amount of $27.52 stating I have to pay for this bill because, the company who sent it to me is on restriction status. (Why did they let the company send it then).

I call and speak with one lady who says it is ONLY $27.52 go ahead and pay it. I told her no I didn't ask for the information to be sent, I didn't agree to receive the package and I am not going to pay it.
She proceeds to tell me that if I opened a package that makes me fully responsible for it. I was more than tired of talking with her.

I ask to be transferred to a supervisor. I talk with a man who is a billing specialist named Mark who lives in Houston. He pulls the record up and he says payment must be received from you.
I try to use an example of what if a company who was not restricted sent me some DHL paperwork. He him haws and finally spits out that no if the company was not restricted I would not have to pay for the package. I reasonable said so why do I have to pay for the package because your company choose to allow someone who is restricted (that means they are in collections).
His answer was that the original envelope that was delivered on September 11, 2006, told me I was being billed. I said how do you know that?

He says that he is looking at a copy of it. I told him to fax a copy to me or scan me an email of it. I received it and guess what there is no mention of it being billed to me.

BOttom line with this company they feel that us consumers should have to pay for their mistakes.....
Oh and they told me that if I didn't want the envelope I should have called them to pick it up. So BEWARE of any mail that is addressed to you in a DHL envelope if you open it they THINK that constitues you being responsible for paying for it.
