My fiancee and I registerd with a wedding cordinator in clear water for a march 17 wedding of 2006 by a comapny owned and operated by "Margery West called Dial M for Matrimony"

We asked for a private beach wedding and were told that we have one and once we got there we realized that it was spring break and that all the beaches were crowded and dirty.

We called Margery to find out what she could do about finding a beach that was quiet, she basicly said at that point to bad your stuck with Sand key or clearwater beach, both were nasty.

When we told her on the 15th that we were going to cancel the wedding she dissapeared never returned our messages until we got home to ILLinois, were she said she would not give a refund.

Total cost for the wedding and a two hr boat ride around the harbor, airline tickets, hotell all wich add up to over $3,500 not to mention the emotional stress this caused to my fiancee.

This was going to be the happiest day of our lives but instead it turned out to be the worst experience of our lives.

I hope no one ever has to go through what Margery West has put us through. I wish this woman was out of business.

False report by bride/Dial M for Matrimony

AUTHOR: Dial M for Matrimony - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, August 28, 2009

The bride booked March 17, St Patty's Day, for her wedding and arrived on the 15th. I was at the beach working and it was a spectacular day; bright and sunny with lots of happy people. She called me to say she was here and very unhappy with the beach. I couldn't believe what she was saying or expected, but suggested that she go to Sand Key Co beach, where the ceremony would be held, to get a better perspective.

She did not call me until she was back in Illinois on the 16th. This was unbelievable to me. Why would anyone spend that money, come down for the wedding, and not allow me to provide her with more options. She was not willing to speak to me when she was here and never requested a refund until she was in Illinois.

I honestly thought it was alot more than the "dirty beach"; perhaps all the bikini clad beach beauties at her motel.  We have the best beaches in the country and I have been doing beach weddings for 15 years, over 2000 ceremonies performed on beaches.

I had turned down 2 clients for a high demand date such as March 17, and when she requested the refund on the 16th, I did refuse, but told her if she wanted to come down again I would do a ceremony.

She reported me to BBB, which defended me after many documented conversations. She had me on the bad business website and she has done damage to my reputation and I'm just trying to make a living. I began my career in the destination wedding industry in 1994 in Key West & was a pioneer in the business.

My husband is ill and I am trying hard to keep the businesses afloat. I would really appreciate it if you would consider removing this unjust complaint after 3 years. I feel that this entire ordeal has been unfair & I have the documents to prove it. I'm losing my home and just want to do my weddings that I am so blessed with. Thank you.
