In the Fall of 2004, a Diamond Enterprise sales rep attempted to sell me a subscription to their magazines in the parking lot of my place of employment in Franklin, TN. I told the guy I was not interested. Several months later after I had changed jobs, I was contacted by my former employer who was now a client of mine. He told me he had received a bill addressed to me from Diamond Enterprises.

I was bewildered since I had never ordered any magazines and had never received any either. Worse yet, the bill was in the form of a post card for all to see, showed the account as being past due, and that I somehow owed them hundreds of dollars. This was not only false and embarrassing, but cost me a client.

I filed a complaint with the California consumer protection and spoke with Diamond Enterprise. They assured me that this matter would be resolved and they were at fault.

However, several months later it started up again. Another post card bill was sent to me at my client's office. I filed a second complaint with the California consumer protection and again spoke with Diamond Enterprise who again admitted that they were at fault.

I am an attorney and today I had a Louisiana client retain me to look into trouble that he is having with none other than Diamond Enterprises who has fraudulently induced him into numerous magazine subscriptions, totalling hundreds of dollars and committing him through 2012! He never ordered any magazines from them. This guy is 75 years old. Why in the world would he commit to buying numerous magazine subscriptions through 2012.

It would not surprise me if there are several other senior citizens out there who have also been victimized.
