During a trip to Maui, we were contacted by Diamond Resorts International to visit one of their sales promotions.  Our sales rep, Steve Coralle, gave an interesting presentation.

At the conclusion of the presentation, we declined to buy at that time.  However, he encouraged us to try one of their resorts at a substantially reduced rate within the next 18 months (exp. 9/2012).

When I contacted him on 2/12/2012, he said that "Sampler" program had been discontinued, and I would receive no discount as described in his sales presentation.  He said we must have misunderstood what he was was offering.

From my and my wife's prospective, there was no misunderstanding.  It was simply a "give away" sales pitch that never meant to be honored. I won't be doing business with Diamond Resorts again.

This site is the real scam

AUTHOR: Jason Alverez - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, October 30, 2015

The way this site works is now that you rebuttaled they will push this false complaint about you to the top of the list.  They're not concerned with the validity... Then they themselves will add extra complaints.  When you rebuttal they contact you to offer "reputation management services" which is basically them blackmailing you for money in order to remove complaints regardless of validity.  The best thing in the future is to ignore completely or contact a real rep management company.  Good luck!

Diamond Resorts Complaint

AUTHOR: Dave B. - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, March 03, 2012

Diamond Resorts contacted me after the posting of my original complaint.  They have offered and I have accepted a resolution of our disagreement.  I am withdrawing my original complaint based on fulfillment of the resolution at a later date.

This is defamation

AUTHOR: Steve Coralle - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, February 18, 2012
This is defamation and I am currently looking into legal ways to file a lawsuit against Dave Bonsi and ripoffreport.com if this report doesn't get deleted.

This report is solely based on your user Dave Bonsi's confusion, and I am sorry that this website lets anyone write whatever they want without contacting all parties involved first and getting all the facts right.

Here are the facts: Dave Bonsi and his wife Mary attended a vacation ownership sales presentation on April 4th 2011. After talking with one of Diamond Resorts International Sales executive (not me), they didn't purchase the Ownership. So they were walked over to me. My job is to do a survey to make sure they were treated well and if they are showing interest in trying out the lifestyle, I offer them to buy a "try it" program called The Sampler. The Sampler lets them try some of the Diamond Resorts out, it also freezes the list price of the Vacation Ownership for 18 months in case they want to buy the Ownership after test driving it. If they had bought the 8,500pts Sampler trial program they would have had 18 months to travel with their points. They didn't buy that program either. At the time the Sampler offered was $895. Now it's been almost a year and Dave Bonsi contacted me to inquire about the Sampler. I told him that the least expensive Sampler to get him to Kauai is now $1,599. I understand how Dave Bonsi and his wife could be upset if they were under the impression that they could still buy a Sampler for $895 and I sincerely apologized to him for the miscommunication. Now Dave Bonsi decided to write this false report.

Thank you for deleting this report before we have to engage in a legal battle.

CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY

AUTHOR: hmmmm1967 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 17, 2012

Dave B: (I originally posted this as a separate report - I'm just getting used to the system)

Consider yourself lucky that you won't have to listen to another sales pitch where you might be tempted to buy.  When you are in paradise, it all seems so right! We are owners of DRI timeshares in the Point at Poipu in Kauai, Hawaii and have been exposed to maintenance fees that have skyrocketed in addition to a water intrusion assessment of $12,000 that has us struggling to figure out how we are going to pay. Our timeshare weeks have become worthless. People can't even give them away because of the very high assessment that has been attached to it. Yes, people are willing to give away time that they spent tens of thousands of dollars for. That should tell you something about the investment.  BUYER BEWARE of any timeshare purchase. It can quickly turn your dream vacation into a nightmare. If you already knew this, congratulations;  if not, take your time before buying.   We fell for the sales pitch many years ago that told us our maintenance fees would stay even with inflation, that the buildings were constructed properly (or, in the very least, that insurance or maintenance paid for by reserve funds they collected would take care of any problems) and that as owners we would be able to pass a wonderful real estate investment on to our children. None of it was true. Too bad for us.  It doesn't have to happen to you.

Oh, and in our opinion, the property has NEVER looked the way it did in the model we were taken to - not even close!

I'm Confuzed

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 13, 2012

"I won't be doing business with DR again". What does that mean? Are you going to stop attending their sales presentations for other free stuff? This is just another rip off time share company. Their salesman lied to you about some free deal and you expect them to be honest about anything else? How much OTHER business were you planning on conducting with them? Strange.
