 You did have to be a Platinum owner to exchange Diamond Points to pay Maintenance Fees. This is totally different than the grotesquely uneducated complaint filed on this site. Moments ago, I provided a response to the complaint. Any Owner at any level that had the Barclays Diamond Credit Card can redeem credit card reward points as a statement credit and use that credit towards Maintenance Fees. You can do whatever you want with the statement credit -even buy a refrigerator if you have enough points. Both the consumer and Rip Off Report should be ashamed of Damning my good name on a positive feature that a program offers and turning it into a complaint. Fake News!

The person who wrote this complaint has zero clue on what they are talking about. They filed a complaint on something that you can do. At the time of me upgrading these owners Barclays Bank had a relationship with Diamond Resorts. The application for the credit card was filled out by consumer on site at Diamond. The terms in credit card disclosures from the Diamond Barclay Card clearly state that reward points can be used towards a statement credit that can be applied towards Maintenance Fees. Not only did these people file a complaint on something you can do, Ripoff Report is just as negligent allowing a negative comment to be posted without fact checking. This complaint is equivalent to the customer saying they bought an air conditioner for their house and it blows cold.
