Diamonds International Belize@shopdi.com Buyer Beware Belize, Other

While on a Princess Cruise we were told of great shopping with Diamonds International only to be totally ripped off. We stopped at the store in Roatan were we purchased an Ammolite pendant, diamond studs and gold chain. We were told the Ammolite pendant was worth thousands; paid thousands only to find out that item direct from their website was about half what we paid, I have been in touch with them and I am awaiting a resolution.  While in Belize we purchased matching earrings only to discover we were over charged on those too.  Over charge from website price about $500.00. People should take their cell phones and pay the international fees or find free WiFi to price check. I didn't but wish I had. It would have been worth it. No wonder they claim they are one of the top dealers in the world; they are scamming everyone that buys from them. Take the time to do your homework. Don't believe your cruise shopping specialist (we did). Cruise lines get paid for recommending Diamond International, Tanzanite International and others. My next line of defense is my State's Attorney Generals office.  If I don't receive statisfaction from DI, I will do whatever it takes to discredit them and the cruiseline for false endorsement. The saddest thing of all was the shopping specialist was standing right by us assisting in the purchases at both ports of call.
