We were hired by Diego Solorzano from gorilla-systems.com for offshore development. Diego Solorzano got the work done of several thousand Euros and later stopped paying us. He claimed that he is a programmer and all code has to be uploaded on his server for review. Since June 2008 he got several jobs done and paid us small amounts. In January 2009 after all his jobs were done he changed his server passwords and never cleared the outstanding dues.

In December he said he has some financial problem so he will pay us in January 09 and in January he promised that he will pay us by March 09. In April he said that now he will not be paying the balance amount as the code is not good. As a programmer he was reviewing the code every week (since June 2008). In April 2009 he says that code is not good. Despite of proving that the code is W3C Compliant and we are willing to support him then also he is not responding..

In May end we finally sent a recovery agent to his place and found that there is no person with the name Diego Solorzano or gorilla-systems.com in that location.

I can see, unfortunately too late, that he is a great manipulator and a fraud. May be other companies should be careful while dealing with this person and gorilla-systems.com..

I am getting my lawyer involved now. He will call his old clients and his previous employers to find his current location..

Thanks to ripoffreport that Diego Solorzano replied.

1. We have all the mails, chat conversation, positive reviews Diego Solorzano gave after receiving code and now he claims that he didn't monitored the work closely. For June 2008 till Dec 2008 he was daily reviewing the jobs and now he claims he didn't monitored the work closely. We can show all the conversations.

2. He got several projects done and not just two. We can give the names, URLs, email, chat conversation, etc. He reviewed the last project code in January. For 3 months it was promised that balance payment will be cleared. We have the mails to prove it. Later he brought an issue of poor code to avoid payments.

Despite of proving that the sites are W3C Complaint, works on different browsers with no errors but still he doesn't want to pay.

3. He claims that anyone can visit his site gorilla-systems.com and see his customers and their views. As of today there are no customer testimonials or reviews on his site. He believes no one will visit..

Lastly , when you do not pay for hard work of other side then obviously other side will complain.. You responded here but you do not respond when we send mails or call you..

#3 REBUTTAL Owner of company

The other side of the story

AUTHOR: Gorillasys - (Ireland)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 03, 2009

The company posting this report is Versatile Networks, based in India. I hired them to do some development work for us, specifically in two projects. We paid them on a monthly basis a total of around 5 thousand Euros.

With the economy the way it is we started looking closely at our suppliers and discovered the code delivered by Versatile Networks was of poor quality and therefore withheld payment of the final invoices. The projects they were involved in were never completed and have never gone live. We are currently trying to get them finished, but it's been difficult since we had to start from scratch as the work done by Versatile was just useless. Unfortunately we didn't monitor them close enough and we're paying the consequences.

They then decided to blackmail us, threatening to post reports like this in sites like this in order to tarnish our company's reputation unless we pay the final invoices.
After this experience we are no longer outsourcing our development to any offshore company, and are doing all the development work in house. We are looking for legal advice on this issue, but if you are reading this article I thought you should get the other side of the story. You can visit our website to find out more about what we do; our customers and their views on the quality of the work we deliver.
