I found Diet Divas a few months ago and it appeared great. You pay a one time fee for life time membership to get a diet program and a conselor. It promises no pre-packaged food, no medication, and you can shop in the grocery store for everything.

http://www.dietdivas.com/content/meet_the_dietdivas.htm

After signing up, immediately everything they promised began to change. You have to buy snacks from them. If you do not, you are told you are not on plan and are purged (deleted so you can no longer login) from their system after not buying any snacks for a month. They also incourage the use of drugs (fat blockers, carb blockers, water pills) which i believe is not safe, and definately should not be taken lightly, all of which you can buy their 'special formula' from their website.

They say ov er and over that these products are only available at dietdivas, but this is also a lie. Many websites sell the same products at 8-10 dollars cheaper a box, with better v ariety, faster and friendlier service. I would be more inclined to buy products and support diet divas if they were more honest about their business practices.
This does not seem like a lifetime membership to myself and others. The diet does work but their shady business practices need to be made public.

Their bulletin boards, which they advertise as a place for support are heavily guarded. Posts with personal email addresses are deleted. Posts that inform you where you can buy the snacks cheaper are deleted, and the user is then banned from ever using the diet diva forums again. Posts that are not positive about diet divas, or about dieters having problems on the forums are also deleted.

While it may not be illegal to delete a forum thread, it certainly does not give what is advertisted on the homepage. While I know a business exsists to make money it should also care about it's customers and what it is trying to serve them. Diet Divas clearly does not, if they did, they would let people express the frustrations they have on a day to day diet basis.

Later I also found out that my conselor, which by the use of the word you assume is a Nutritional Conselor, is not, but just someone who did well on the diet diva program. Their choice of words are purposely misleading, and they will not give a refund of the life time fee, even if you wish to cancel within the first few weeks. If you post about it publically, your posts will be deleted.

The conselors are said to be personal support but that also is very much a stretch of the truth. they respond with canned messages, and very rarely say anything out of the box.

You are not presented with their Terms of Service until after you have signed up and paid. THeir Terms of Service is not posted on their website in plain view when you first visit dietdivas.com but is hidden in the members section, at the bottom of the forum. As a company I think they should make their terms of service available to all, and especially to people who may be considering joining.

I do not want my money back but want to inform people before they give away their money to something that is not what it advertises to be.

To All That Read This Post: I have been a DietDivas Program/Personal Coach for 5 years, and previously a member/user of the program with my own personal testimony of success using the DietDivas program. The main program is a Meal program for REAL FOODS you prepare and buy in your local market or restaurant. They DO offer for sale, additional enhancements to the Meal Program by way of healthy soy and whey based protein supplements drinks/sweet bars/soups, herbal products and vitamin supplementation to control NORMAL "triggers" people have for sodium and sugar, until they are able to overcome these triggers on their own. The protein supplements are encouraged for use ONLY during weight reduction, NOT once you reach your goal weight and are on the maintenance part of the program. DIETDIVAS is the ONLY on-line weight loss support services Co. that offers a "private members area" in it's website where you have a coach to monitor your progress, chart and make changes along the way individual to each of it's active members. DietDivas is a positive motivation based program and does not tolerate negative content or copywriting of its web-based business practices. This is clearly stated in its Terms of Service Agreements. Each member agrees to the Terms of Service, disclosed on every page of the website (before purchasing a membership). There are warnings of caution when a member violates the terms, and enforcement when a member abuses the terms. That is the only way that a member loses the right to use the "private member's area" . Any misunderstanding can usually be resolved by a phone conversation with the program Director,
