I tried a 30 day trial of a diet patch and it was to be just that a 30 day trial, after 14 days the Diet patch co. charged my credit card 89$ after calling the Co. they told me that there was a 14 day period to caccel and that since I had not done so they had the right to charg me.  When I called to order I did it over the phone whoever I was talking to was ordering the patch on the internet and never told me about the 14 days and checked the box that I knew about the 14 days.....  The last thing Thaat ticks me off is when a co. does something and has a stipulation like 14 days , it should be law when then send the order out that they must put a note in the  order and remind one and let one know how to reach the co!

EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back!

HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO:

Go to your bank within 60 days of the charge, or as soon as you know about the charge, don't delay, and tell them that there has been fraudulent activity within your account. Explain that you wish to file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E.

According to the majority of victims interviewed by Rip-off Report, those who immediately called their banks to dispute the charges did not get very far. Many victims got the following responses from their banks: we could not do anything for you or you waited too long; it has been more than 60 days.

If the bank is says that you have waited too long, explain to them how you called their 800 number as soon as the charges were found, and were told by the bank that nothing could be done. Remind the bank that they failed to assist you properly at the 800 #, and instead, provided you with an inadequate explanation of your right to dispute. Tell the bank that it's their fault time has expired, and since they gave you the wrong info to begin with, they will just have to deal with it, take the loss and reverse the charges.

Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com. And if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! If you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Either way, be persistent!

DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/controller over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw it in their face. The more knowledgeable you appear to be, the further you will get.

And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state.

Let the bank personnel know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing (as most other banks have) by looking at the complaints and immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account; no matter how long ago it was. Be sure to call the Media if necessary so you are telling the truth.

If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above tactics should still work. The bank can easily fax or mail to you the Federal Regulation E dispute form.

CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD

If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here.

Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action.

And good luck Let us know how you do!

I sent in a complaint against this company a few minutes ago.  The same thing happened to me.  I returned that trial product but was still charged the $89.97 on my credit card.  This company is a rip off!

Customer Signed Up For A Trial

AUTHOR: DietPatchToday - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 19, 2012

Customer signed up for a 14 day trial, agreeing to the terms and conditions that they would be billed the full price if they did not cancel before the 14 day trial period had ended.

Customer can see the last step of the order page here that shows the terms and conditions box is required to be checked (Also notice the condensed version of the terms to the left of the page as well):
www.dietpatchtoday.com/order.php

The full terms and conditions the customer agreed to are located here (They can also be clicked on on the order page, on the home page, and in the email sent to the customer after their trial order was placed):
www.dietpatchtoday.com/terms.htm

The customer was sent the 14 day trial and the product was delivered to the customer.

Customer did not cancel within the 14 days like agreed to if they did not want to pay for the product and was charged the full price for the product.

The trial period does begin on the order date and that is disclosed both on the order page, the terms and conditions that are required to be agreed to, on the main website, and a link to the terms and conditions are emailed to the customer with their order. We extend trials all the time for people who email or call in before the 14 day window has passed and are always happy to give customers more time to try the product.

We also allow customers to return the product if it is not used for a refund if that is what the customer wishes to do. We do not do anything that is not disclosed on our website, is required to be agreed to before placing an order, and is sent to the customer.

You failed to read their Terms of Service...

AUTHOR: Ken - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, March 12, 2012

The link is at the bottom of the home page.

Trial Orders: By submitting your billing information and order, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the 14 day trial. You will be sent your trial order of our product, given access to the diet patch program portal website and be billed a small shipping and handling charge today. The 14 day trial period starts when you place your order and may be cancelled by phone at 1-877-773-5152. The patches are a supplemental product that goes along with the diet patch program portal website that you get access to. You may extend your trial by calling us anytime before the 14th day to get more time to try the product out. You will be responsible to pay the Shipping and Handling charges for your first shipment and that is the amount billed to start the trial. The cost of the product and diet patch portal website is $89.97 and you will be billed that price for the initial product sent out and the access to the website if you do not cancel before your 14 day trial has ended as we assume the product and website is working for you and you wish to continue using them. If after your 14 day trial period you wish to continue to receive our product and access to our diet patch portal website, simply do not cancel, and in approximately 30 days and continuing every 30 days thereafter, youll be shipped out a 30 day supply of diet patches for the full price.
Unless you contact our customer care department at 1-877-773-5152 to cancel your monthly subscription, you will continue to receive product every month and be billed the full price for it. Your request for cancellation, whether by phone or email, will be processed immediately; however, you will be responsible for payment of any product that has either already been shipped to you or that has already been delivered to you at the time of your cancellation. If you are trying to cancel outside of the customer cares hours of operation (4am to 11pm Central time Monday - Friday) you may submit a request of cancellation by email to contact@dietpatchtoday.com. If you request a cancellation within the 14 day trial period, you will not be charged for anything further and will only be charged that initial shipping and handling fee. All cancellation requests whether by email or by phone should receive a cancellation number and an email stating your subscription has been cancelled. You must keep this cancellation number or email for your records that you have been cancelled.

There is also information there about returns.
Your "30 day trial" is really 14 days, from the date you placed your order.

NO, I don't work for them.
