This is not the first time I've used the Internet to do my camera purchases.  Although, after getting burned, I will do my homework in the future.

My work has me travelling all over the U.S. and I at times need to buy camera gear on the road.  This order was placed with Digital Depot Online, a photography wherehouse.  I ordered a Nikon D7000, Battery Charger, and Battery.  The salesman on the other end of the line, whose name was Steve told me that if I buy one battery taht they had a special where you buy one battery and you get a second battery FREE! 

He also stated that there was a regular battery and a Hi Capacity Battery!  So I ordered the High Capacity Battery.  I received my order within 15 days as they stated but, the second battery wasn't included!  I called and talked to Steve and he said that he would ship one out right away!  After about a month I called and asked for Steve and he wasn't available, to call back later.  I called back, asked for Steve and was on hold for almost an hour before I hung up and called back.

Steve still wasn't available so I talked to Anthony.  He told me that the batteries from Nikon were on back-order.  So I waited another month.  After calling back in June, I was told that it was shipped out to my address on April 27, 2012.  Since I never received it I asked for a tracking number.  They didn't have one, Anthony said.  I started out saying that I was going to call the Better Business Bureau but before I finished getting it out of my mouth, Anthony said "don't finish that sentence of he was going to hang up on me. 

I've called a total of 12 times and they kept telling me that they were shipped and as soon as they got them in, they would ship it to me.  I was told that 4 times.  I just called again this morning and talked to Anthony again and told him that their Ads advertise the same deal for the batteries.  He told me that they don't take care of the specials from Nikon, that it was a Nikon Special!

So I called Nikon Corperate!  Nikon told me that Digital Depot Online is not authorised to sell Nikon Equipment.  When I asked him about the High Capacity Battery, Nikon Told me that there is only ONE Battery!  In the end of it all, I guess I'm just screwed! 

Digital Depot Online is GUILTY of FRAUD and FALSE ADVERTISING and is a TOTAL RIPOFF!!!!!
