Dillards Rude employees and deceptive price tags Aiken South Carolina

I recently went to my local Dillards to browse and to purchase a birthday gift. While I was looking at the men's fragrance counter I picked up a gift set of a brand that I have been wanting, when I turned it over to see the price it had the usual pink Dillards markdown price tag only this price tag said the regular price was $45.00 but was now $0.01.

Now, I am not stupid, I did not expect to get a namebrand fragrance set for a penny, even though I do believe that a company should have to honor the price it lists on merchandise. I asked the assistant at the counter what the price was, she looked completely surprised when she saw the tag and said she did not know so she called her supervisor, who took an extremely long time to come to the counter, she then looked at it and said oh the price is $45.00 that it used to a gift set but the promotion had ended. She said this in a very rude manner and looked at me as though I was some homeless person or crook off the street.

I have run into these price tags before in this and other Dillards locations. You would think that they would begin to figure out that they are putting on these tags themselves and should not treat the customer as an idiot for asking about them.
