Last week I received an automated message to notify me that my flights to Nassau the week of Christmas had been canceled. This is a devastating problem on so many levels.  No explanation, no compensation, no accomdating us to another route or date.  My family of 19 had booked a trip to Nassau, Bahamas from Niagara Falls, NY in April.  We have a rental property booked which was non-refudable if you did not give 60 days notice (and I'm talking thousands of dollars to rent this property).  Direct Air has told all of us, we're sorry for the inconvience.

 was unwilling and unable to accomodate the 19 family members of ours to another flight somewhere else on these dates-WHAT AIRLINE DOES THAT?  I have been flying for many years, and every airline accomodates to the best they can ESPECIALLY around the holidays.  They won't even give us the option of flights to florida so that we could catch a connector to nassau.  

10, TEN of us have called repeatedly, e=mailed and tried to get answers, every response is from a Customer Service Rep.  Their headquarters in Myrtle Beach is where Corporate is located, we were told you can "only contact them via e-mail."  Well, I have 3 emails on file and the only responses are from Customer Service Reps.  Why can't we hear back from a manager or corporate?  Did they ever even fly to the Bahamas?  Why are we waiting so long to get our money back? 

I will never, EVER fly Direct Air again, and my family has used them frequently.  I know that the plane we were booked on next month was FULL, so i have to believe that many other families are devastated.  this was our holiday dream vacation, and direct air not only screwed us out of a vacation but thousands and thousands of dollars on a property we can't get back. 

do not fly with them-spend the money and fly elsewhere.
