I bought a 2-year plan (full payments in 3 installment) in June 2013 and the term started on July 17, 2013 due to their initial 30-day waiting period. We made two payments and waited for the 3rd payment to be credited from another account that open up without my authorization and charged my credit card. When thy refused to refund my money from the other account I went ahead and made payment for the remaining balance on my account. All along, my account was active and a few days later I contacted their customer service twice to find out if it was OK to file a new claim and if I needed to wait 30 days . Each time, they told me that my account was active and there is no waiting period for a new claim. I took my car to a repair shop and they contacted Direct Buy Warranty for the payment but the shop was told to wait on repairs and wanted to get an inspection done. The next day inspection was done and two days later they refused to pay for the repair. Direct Buy Auto Warranty said that there will be another 30-day waiting period before a claim is paid.

I have a recorded conversations from one of their sales associated who has very clearly stated that there will not be another waiting period even a payment is late. In his recorded conversation; the sales person re-iterated that a 30-day waiting period is only after the initial purchase which we had in June 2013.
I requested to speak with the manager; the manager, Eddie, called and I mentioned to him about the recorded conversation but he refused to listen and said the claim will not be paid.

This is not just a deceptive business practice; they are also engaged in false advertisement which is fraud and punishable.
