Direct Buy, Directkitchenremodeling Deceptive and Unethical Sales Practices Lenexa Kansas
I responded to their advertisement on TV. I was called and ask to set an appointment. I tried to ask some questions on the phone which they would not answer. When we went to listen to the presentation they were very polite. The cost of the Membership? $4000 for the first two years. Of course they were so secretive on the phone. Unless your planning on spending at least $10,000 dollars in your first two years its not worth it.
Then they tell you if you don't accept the offer now you can never come back. My response, if you can't sell without using unethical high pressure sales tactics then your not a real salesperson and second your company is probably not worth dealing with. Yes some of the prices they showed me were impressive. But some they showed me I could actually beat hands down. Like wood flooring, Lumberliquidators has way better prices and no shady salesreps. The refrigerator price they showed me made me laugh. I just bought a nicer fridge for less money.
I especially enjoyed the part where the saleman told me they did not spend any money on advertising, have a lot of overhead or have any commision sales people. I had just seen about thirty TV ads in the previous week and was standing in a building that probably rented for $30 a square foot. I don't think the sale people work for peanuts.
The bottom line don't bother responding to their ads. Read the rest of the reports on this company and tell your friends not to get ripped off. And never, never buy when someone tells you that you must buy now or the deal is no good or you will not be allowed back.
