Direct Capital Corporation Financing Fraud Bait & Switch--Don't Be A Victim Portsmouth New Hampshire

This is a financing company for equipment leasing and unsecured lines of credit. They cold called me on the equipment leasing side (on my cell phone!) and convinced me to apply for a line of credit for my business. I have a good personal credit score and they assured me it wouldn't be a problem to get a reasonably large line of credit to expand my business--at a cost of $359 to apply. I should have known better. For that money I was supposed to have them shop banks, etc.

After I paid and before they did anything, all of a sudden they wanted me to pay another $1500 for some legal services to acquire the line of credit. I knew then it was a bait and switch rip off. The $359 was actually processed by a company in Utah which supposedly gives you a credit scorecard of some sort. At any rate--it's a total ripoff.

If you go to the Better Business Bureau website in New Hampshire where they are located, you'll see a listing of tons of complaints that the BBB has received, and the BBB gives them a lower rating specifically because of the number of complaints received. The last time I checked, the rating was lowered even more. There are so many scams out there, and this is the first time I've been swindled, but I hope others can avoid the same ripoff.
