I have been with direct tv for 1 yr and 9 months. when we moved into our new house, it took them 2 months and 3 no show appointments to finally get our service. When we did finally get it, the service man told us we had to have the dish in the yard and not on the house. It was installed on a 3 foot pole between houses. (every one else in the subdivision has them on their roofs like you should). Anyways, we pay $10 a month for our HD channels, which we have never gotten. I havent had time to sit there for an hour trying to fix it myself with customer service on the phone so I have waited. You call that customer service when you have to fix their stuff that isnt working, please. Anyway, that didnt work, so they informed me they would set up a service call, that was going to cost me $80!!!! So not only have I been paying for services I contracted for and not recieving them, but then I have to pay them to come try to figure out why their equiptment isnt working?? So after an hour arguing with them, I told them to cancel our service, then they inform me I need to mail their equiptment back, WRONG, the contract I signed says I need to schedule a time for them to pick it up, she says they do not do that and we will be charged for the equiptment, then charged for cancelling our contract. How can we be charged for cancelling a contract that they have not fulfilled?? and how can the make me mail them that stuff when their own contract says they will pick it up??? No wonder the economy is so bad, look at the customer service these days, no one wants to deal with it.
