I found the charge "DTV*DIRECTV SERVICE" on my credit card statement from last month. I have never signed up with any direct tv service ot ATT. I do not have any other fraudulent charges on my account. I submitted a claim a week ago and cannot get anyone to help me or acknowledge that this is a problem.

I guess the only way is to go to my credit card company and report this as a fraudulent charge.

I just would like to know why its my only fraudulent charge.

I suspect they bought a list of numbers and are running them to see.

Hi Tyg, YOU are saying this report is INCORRECT which is based on NOTHING. That's kind of mean, don't you think?

Anyways, I think the "they" in this case would most likely be a 3rd party contractor that signs people up for service. If that is insensitive to Direct TV, I give you permission to appoligize on my behalf. Thanks

I have never paid for anyones Direct TV or ATT or any other service ever. I have lived alone since I have had this credit card/bank account.

I submitted a claim on directv.com/notmyaccount last Monday and don't have a response.

Also, explain how a transposition error can result in having my full CC, name, and billing address? I am very curious to see what address is on the account for service but I can't get anyone to tell me this.

 Firstly, kinda mean of YOU to accuse THEM of a crime like buying credit card numbers. Secondly, think back. YOU may not have had DTV but did a friend or family member ask YOU to pay thier bill at ANY time that card has become active? IF they have asked this of you, then odds are the person who asked YOU to assist them defaulted on thier contracted service and DTV billed the card on file. Whuch would be yours. If YOU did NOT help someone out, then odds are its just a TRANSPOSED NUMBER!!!! A easy mistake to make that we have ALL made. YOU should be able to contact DTVs billing department and investigate the issue with them.
