I, too, as the fellow from Tallahasse, FL feel as though I've been ripped off for the cost of the NFL Sunday Ticket. I have been a Direct TV customer since 1996 and have purchased the NFL Sunday Ticket every year since then.

This year, when my subscription was automatically renewed as Direct TV does this every year if you purchased this package the prior year, I received the "Early Bird Special" price of $179.00 plus tax.

At no time was I informed that Direct TV established new rules this year and blacked out many of the Sunday 1 pm and 4 pm games if your local channels were broadcasting them.

I did not buy into their local channel package when it became available because I was uninterested in those po-dunk stations. I was very satisfied with my network feeds from the east and west coasts. Opening day of football, I tune into my NFL Sunday Ticket, all the games I wanted to see were blacked out.

I went nuts! I called Direct TV, was on "hold" for approximately 45 minutes. It was at this time they politely informed me of their new black out rules. I told them I did not get my local channels, so they offered to install a new dish for me so I could get them (another monthly charge).

I am truly not interested in those channels especially paying $179.00 already, but now I'm between a rock and a hard spot. The next Sunday, again the games I want to see are blacked out. Our local channel was to be broadcasting the game I wanted to see.

I went to my daughter's house who also has Direct TV with our local channels, and guess what, it was not on the local channel either.

Again I called Direct TV and they then said the programming was changed. So another Sunday passes by and I did not see one single game I was interested in. Direct TV then gave me a $25.00 credit as I wanted a refund for the NFL Ticket. You see, you can't get a refund "after the season starts." And Direct TV doesn't tell you the rules until "after the season starts." I must add here that the customer service people at Direct TV are very patient, caring and helpful. They have jumped through hoops trying to keep me happy, but what would make me happy they have no control over.

I have sent a certified letter to the President and CEO of Direct TV. If anyone is interested, write to Chase Carey, Direct TV, PO Box 92600, Los Angeles, CA 90009.

I feel that Direct TV used deceptive and fraudulent practices in selling this year's NFL Sunday Ticket - it is one HUGE rip-off. I will never order this package from them again.
