Direct TV Unathorized and Indisclosed Increases Phoenix Arizona

I signed onto Direct TV service January 12, 2008. I agreed to the 59.99 that with the rebate of 10.00 the total would be 49.99. I also had free movie channels for three monthsThis package would be given for 12 months at that price and after 12 months I could switch to a higher or lower package. I was also told that I would also receive a 10.00 credit for signing up with ATT for internet service. This would bring my bill down to the 39.99 package. After signing up with Att, I called Direct TV back to confirm my contract with ATT they said that they had no knowledge of this on my account and that I would not receive the credit due to me. Three weeks later I received a bill for 87.00. I disputed the bill but I paid it. I was told that my rebate would become effective within the next bill (Which would be the March bill).Please note that the charges were not for any extra services such as On demand charges or for an sport channel for extra movie renting. The March bill came and the rebate of 30.00 went into effect. However, my cable charge increased to 104.99 which I did not agree to. This left my bill at the regular high price of 89.00. I also paid that bill but disputed it. Then I received a bill in April for 255.00 as a disruption of service if I did not pay the bill. My bill went from 87.00 to 255.00. I called the representative and I told them that Direct TV used unfair sales practices and false advertisement.

What they did was offer me a plan with free movie channel and give me a discount for three months for free movie channel. Most people think that they are getting it free but they are not DirectTV plans to charge them after the three months period. They knew that after three months my account payment would increase after the coupon expired. This is called indisclosed increase.
I wanted to cancel because they did not keep their end of the contract with undisclosed increase and Early Termination Fee of 500.00

I should not be held responsible to pay the early termination fee because Direct TV was the one at fault. In addition, I should only pay the amount agreed upon as of January- April for 49.99 per month with the 7.26 in taxes, 5.99 DVR service and the 10.00 receiver fee. The agreed upon total from Jan-Mar should have been 219.72 Currently I have paid the total billed which was 260.00 from Jan to March. I should not have to pay the 255.00 bill for April alone. In addition they have turned in my information to CBE Credit Bureau with a total amount owed as 561.72 within the short time period. I am angry because I have worked so hard to keep my credit in good standing and a company can damage it all with fraudulent activity. Buyer Be Aware
