My son answered a misleading Craigslist ad for a carpet cleaner. The interviewer went on to tell him the job was actually a product representitive demonstrating Kirby vacuum cleaners. He was promised $1800 a month if he did 60 demos a month, which the company would provide contacts of people expecting demos. And was promised big bonuses for selling each vacuum cleaner. He was also made to sign an independent contractor contract. My son received $200 in cash, mainly for gas, in 30 days of working 12 hour days 6 days a week. The company did not provide 60 contacts!
