Verizon Verizon advertises a $50 rebate on new mobile phone service. But, instead of discounting the price, or sending customers a $50 check, it forces customers to obtain an debit card, and deducts $3 per month from the balance, if it isn't used promptly. Also, both CitiBank and Verizon know that these cards are often misplaced or forgotten. This practice diminishes the value of the discount, and allows Verizon and CitiBank to rake in millions of dollars. This is dishonest and misleading to customers. and Internet Author:
