DirecTV WATCH OUT FOR THE CANCELLATION FEE - THEY LIE ABOUT IT, Internet

When I signed up for DirecTV, I wasn't sure how long I would be using their service and asked about their plans.  They indicated that I should signup for the 24 month plan and if I cancel I would just pay $20 per each month that I used the service.  Now, I am moving after 5 months and called to cancel, and they tell me that I have to $20 for the remaining term (19 months x $20).  I explained that this is not what they told me and that their regular month to month service is only $20 more that what I was paying and they threw a butch of legal CRAP at me.  Bottom line, don't sign up for their "contract" if you think you may need to cancel as they will sock it to you!  It is ridiculous how these companies take advantage of people and get you to agree to things verbally and then they change the terms as they see fit!
