DirecTV charged me $205 for 1 DAY of NFL Sunday Ticket!!! Lancaster Ohio Nationwide

I saw an advertisement from DirecTV saying that if NFL Sunday Ticket for the 2007 season was ordered BEFORE 12/31/06 that we (the customers) would recieve Super Fan for FREE (a $99 "value") and $20 off the regular price. Since my wife and I are BIG fans of the gridiron, we said COOOL!!!!! Sounded like a great deal.

I preordered the 2007 season on the LAST DAY of the regular 2006 season (sometime in early December) and resigned myself to the fact that I had to pay $45 for that ONE DAY, oh well. BUT, after I had paid about $160 for what I thought was for the 2007 season, my NFL Sunday Ticket was not activated when the first game day started!!

I called (800) 531-5000 and waded through the usual yada-yada of the deals and promotions and FINALLY got to talk to someone in Customer Service, who politely apologized for my inconvenience and activated NFL Sunday Ticket, so I thought that maybe my preorder last December just fell through the cracks and then enjoyed my warm, fuzzy feelings and football!!!

Then comes my bill, and up went my blood pressure!!! I was being charged the usual installment of about $59 for the NFL Sunday Ticket that I THOUGHT I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR!!!! So I called DirecTV and after yelling WTF!!! and giving an english language lesson to the clueless, and obviously NON-AMERICAN CSR on the other end, come to find out that the money I had paid was for the 2006 NFL season, all $205.00 for ONE FREAKIN' DAY of games!!!!! I spoke to a total of 3 different "supervisors" before I got any type of satisfaction. OF COURSE, no one had any record of that particular promotion!!! They did credit the $160 to my bill that I had already paid and gave me Super Fan for FREE, which should be free anyways, because it sucks.

I guess sometimes it does pay to throw a hissy fit!!!
