Dirty Car Wash In Antioch Tennessee "Keyless" Nashville Tennessee

On June 19, 2008 @ 5:41pm, I took my car to the Dirty Car Wash located @ 519 Bell Road in Nashville Tennessee to be cleaned. The customer service person greeted me and was full of information on the various services offered at the car wash. I chose the $29.95 package which included carpet shampoo, window cleaning ect.....

After approximetly 20 mins or so, my car was pulled onto the conver belt in the car wash bay. I watched my car roll through the wash to the end of the conver belt. This the point where the car is usually pulled out and the tires are supposed to be shined, air freshener etc....

My car has a manual transmission and when the attendent tried to start my car, the car would not start. Two employees proceeded to push my car out of the bay into the parking lot. The attendent who tried to start my car said, "Ma'am does your car do this all of the time"? I replied no.

He asked me if I wanted to try to start my car and I said sure. When I got into the drivers seat, I noticed that my key was in two pieces. The metal piece was separated from the housing unit. The car would not start without the two pieces being connected. The attendent told me he didn't know what happened and to hold on. I then asked to speak to the manager and I was told that the manager was not there.

Meanwhile I sat in the hot car with my son who happens to be 5 yrs. in the back seat. Some man pulled up into the parking lot of the car wash and two employees ran to his truck and they held a conversation for about 5 minutes. The man who pulled up in the truck would not identify himself and asked what the problem was. I told him about the key and he asked me was he was supposed to do about it. He called the employee over who cleaned the car on the inside and asked him if he had broken the key, and he said yes. He said "we're not paying for that key. I don't know what you are going to do".

The man who still would not identify himself walked off and started to verbally assualt me. He said that I was just looking for money. He indicated that if my key only cost $3.00 then we would not be having this conversation. I proceeded to go into the building with my son to get information on the company, management names, etc. and he told the employee inside to lock the door she is trying to harm you, call the police. Too late, I had the police dispatcher on the line. Then the person who I assumed was with management told employees that they were closing for the day.

The police arrived and a report was filed. I have to get my report in 72 hours and then I will be contacting my lawyer. I have to replace my key and the cost will be between $150.00-$200.00. To make matters worse, the car was not cleaned very well, tire shine was not applied on the passengers side, and I did not get my cheap air freshener. Do not go to the Dirty Car Wash on Bell Road in Antioch, Tennessee.
