BEWARE of Discreet Data, http://www.discreetdata.com FBI, FTC, and POLICE REPORTS FILED FOR FRAUD AGAINST THIS COMPANY.

beware of an online internet based company called discreet data who uses the website name http://www.discreetdata.com . They will STEAL your money after you pay them and not give you what you paid for. I had to get in touch with my uncle because of of a death in the family, I found "discreet data" online and they promised to deliver the unlisted phone number for $45.00 .

I supplied them with 2 numbers that I already had and they sent me back one of the numbers that I already had. I specifically told them that I already had that number and I do not want it again. There is a DEATH in the family and discreet data is STEALING from people who are in dire neet of getting phone numbers who need them, such as myself when there is a DEATH in the family.

I have already filed FRAUD charges against this company. They were given the opportunity to return the money or have FRAUD reports filed on them. They chose the FRAUD reports. They are use to getting fraud charges against them. I am also filing FBI fraud reports on this company on Monday because I asked them for the money refunded because they failed to supply me with a new number and sent me a number that I already had, and it is also against the law to give out unlisted numbers. They are not a licensed private investigator service. They do not supply their legit PI number on their website.

This company emailed me a NASTY hate email and accused me of using a dead person's ID and credit card. But they charged the fee on the card even after they said that to me. I gave their email which they are falsely accussing me of this and I am filing a civil lawsuit on Monday against this discreet data for accusing me of false behavior. They will be sued for defamation and slander.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DISCREET DATA AT WWW.DISCREETDATA.COM, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND NEVER DELIVER WHAT YOU PAID FOR!

Could not find Company on Better Business Bureau

AUTHOR: Eve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 17, 2007

I found Discreet Data Research when doing a search for a company to help me find some information. I then checked Rip Off Report and read the report and rebuttals. In the company's rebuttal they say to check the Better Business Bureau. I did. I could not find a company called "Discreet Data Research" when I search the BBB. Since I could not find a BBB report and since they have shown unethical behavior by violating their own privacy policy, I think that Rip Off Report may have saved me from wasting some money.

The company rebuttal also states things as "facts" with no proof. They say they have been in business since 1995 and that we should take that as an indication of a good business. How do we know they have been in business since 1995? Because they say so?

The original complaint against Discreet Data may or may not be valid. But Discreet Data's own rebuttals convinced me not to do business with them.

It must be obvious to everyone: There is NO RipOff Here

AUTHOR: Disc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 17, 2007

The phoney complaint filed here against Discreet Data Research doesn't do justice to the intent of this web site.

It must be obvious that this has been a feeble attempt at extortion by a person exhibiting a Bi-Polar condition who is unable to function in society; "Roberta Stark" (not her/his real name) appears to suffer from an overactive, hysterical imagination given to delusions of persecution and a need for constant attention.

She/he has been given ample space on the internet to rant and rave about self-inflicted wounds without having to be held accountable for his/her alse claims.

Where is the proof of all of these "Fraud Reports" she/he claims to have been filed?
What about "Identity Theft?
"Raping Old Women"?

There are none.
He's gone over the top - way out there.
We've given him more attention than he deserves and we're moving on.

Visit us at www.DiscreetData.com where you'll see we're still in business - just as we've been since 1995!

Bye-Bye "Roberta Stark", it's obvious you're as flaky as a three dollar bill.

To the kind folks of RippOffReport.com: your credibilty has been stretched with this whole fake episode. We think you'd serve the public better if, like the Better Business Bureau, which you are trying to "counter" if you had a check and balance system to filter out the "Weirdos" like Mr./Mrs. Stark.

Still - we do appreciate the fact that you have been more than fair in allowing us to post our rebuttals.

We're finished with this matter - this person isn't worthy of any more attention.

Thank you.

FAKE "Roberta Stark" Photos Removed from her blogs together with her "Claim" of being a teacher for 20 years.

AUTHOR: Disc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 17, 2007

As noted in our earlier rebuttal: "Our suspicions have been confirmed;one of our investigators located the following image of "Mrs. Roberta Stark" on a United Kingdom web site:
manchester.gov.uk/housing/services/tno/

Compare this to "her" photos on:
onlinefraud.livejournal.com
onlinefraudnews.blogspot.com"

The photos of "Roberta Stark", and her false claim of being "20 years as a teacher", have been REMOVED from her two blogs shortly after we exposed her photo as a FRAUD on this website.

Thanks again RipOffReport for allowing us to post this rebuttal!

AUTHOR: Disc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 17, 2007

The world should be aware that Roberta has never called us to discuss this matter - our contact number is posted on our website. She has only set up blogs to attack us for a SNAFU she created for herself.

The telephone number she provided with her order (as well as her address) are fake - that's why PayPal is having a few issues with her refund.

Roberta - Call us!

You'll need to leave a phone number when you call since we will need to return your call (usually within 15 minutes, or so).

Oh.. the number you leave will have to be REAL.

Our Apologies to "Video Resources, Inc."

AUTHOR: Disc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 17, 2007

Roberta is now claiming that our company is owned by a company called Video Resources (check her other blogs - which are blocked for comment for details.)
Seems this poor old lady ( a teacher of 20 years, no less) is able to trace IP Addresses and has decided that htese guys are the culprits who "steal money, identitites, etc."

Here's the deal Roberta: DiscreetData uses a variety of IP addresses - we don't know which ones are being generated at any one time, but, for instance we're using the IP address at 128.241.105.78 - we'll send you an email so you can confirm this for yourself.

That being said -once again let us state the following: Paypal has frozen your account and is investigating the FRAUD clain that YOU lodged. If all works out you will probably have your funds (all $45.00) back within a few days. We have NO control over the funds at this time -they will be returned to the proper owner of the account you used.

You're treading on thin ice when you start publishing falsehoods and accusations about other companies- which reminds us - WHERE'S THE PROOF?

Where's the Police Report for your latest imaginary claim against "Video Resources?"
We're still waiting for case numbers, etc, that can be verified.

Everyone reading this knows you're a loonball - keep it up - but focus on US - not innocent bystanders.

Re: Posting Privacy Info - a Violation of Trust, or fight Fiction with Fact?

AUTHOR: Charles - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 16, 2007

It is quite apparent that "Roberta" started this silly fight with an overactive imagination and hysterical diatribe polluted with unfounded accusations, ie, identity theft, stolen funds ($45.00),etc. etc. ad nauseum.

It now appears "she" isn't who she claims she is (as per her photo posted on her other blogs - a picture snatched from a web site in the United Kingdom, no less) and she hasn't posted ONE, I repeat ONE verifiable fact to support her claim(s).

To their credit Discreet Data has not shirked from this feeble attempt at public flagellation by unscrupulous "wanna-be extortionists" - Discreet Data accepted the challenge and fought back with the strongest argument available: the TRUTH.

Discreet Data asked for proof of her claims within 24 hours and no response has been posted. Her other blogs have been closed for any other comment when the challenges were posted on them as well.

Why?
It's obvious - this has been one big waste of time - a childish attempt at character assassination which has backfired on the perpetrator(s). THERE IS NOTHING TO BACK UP HER/THEIR CLAIMS.

This is not about $45.00.

This is a non-event obviously created by a poorly educated pathetic individual (claiming to be a teacher of 20 years) screaming for attention.

Sadly, he/she/it will most likely get a refund (or the real owner of the Paypal account will receive a refund)from Paypal - but Discreet Data has held their own. No wonder they've been around so long.

Good Job Discreet Data!
Looks like you'll be around several more years!

Mrs. Roberta revealed as a Fraud

AUTHOR: Disc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 16, 2007

As noted earlier - the person posting this site has set up two additional Blogs which are now being blocked by her for any addtional comment.

We noted earlier that the photo of "Mrs. Roberta" didn't quite match the poor English displayed in her rants.

Our suspicions have been confirmed;one of our investigators located the following image of "Mrs. Roberta" on a United Kingdom web site:
manchester.gov.uk/housing/services/tno/

Compare this to "her" photos on:
onlinefraud.livejournal.com

I have to agree about this company in one area

AUTHOR: Michael - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 16, 2007

I will say that I don't know this company, and I have no idea if they did what this customer claims. What I do know is that Paypal will only lock your account if they have a lot of complaints, and this company does promise to keep information private yet they seemed to violate that promise by posting here. Not very discreet. I have found that if a company is willing to be unethical in one area they are usually willing to do wrong in other areas too. Thanks for warning us about them.

Addendum to Our "Final" Response - A Challenge for Supporting Facts

AUTHOR: Disc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 15, 2007

Discreet Data would like to thank RipoffReport.com for allowing us the opportunity to respond to these unfounded, malicious assaults on our company.
Our only regret is that the claims are not required to be substantiated with any supporting documentation or at least a police report number, etc, etc.

We consider these posted attacks as an abuse to RipoffReport.com which is attempting to be a sounding board for legitimate complaints.

Please take the time to read the other complaints & blogs created by this individual not are they only unsupported by any type of evidence they are poorly written rants without any merit at all whose sole intent is to draw negative attention to our firm. It will be obvious to the reader that they are all posted by the same poorly schooled individual.

Blogs:
http://onlinefraud.livejournal.com
http://onlinefraudnews.blogspot.com

Be sure to check out the photos of Mrs. Stark on these blog sites she claims to have been a teacher for 20 years. Then read the blogs and see if these are the rants of an educated person you be the judge. The photo appears to be of an elderly, white American woman; however the blogs appear to be written by someone who speaks English as a second language see if you don't agree that this whole event is pretty bogus.

We'd like to address the false representations made by this individual on these sites:

FACT: Discreet Data Research is a service established and running on the internet since 1995, not an individual. So it seems hardly possible to rape an old lady as one of the sites is claiming.

FACT: Discreet Data Research has never been accused of stealing identities. We've been around since 1995 do you really think we'd still be in business after all these years if we were committing this alleged and unsubstantiated claim?

FACT: Discreet Data Research uses an outside source to process all credit card sales no credit card information is ever transmitted to the service. Check this out for yourself at: http://discreetdata.com/pay.html

FACT: The FBI is not monitoring Discreet Data Research. Additionally NO police reports, lawsuits have been filed since no crimes have been committed. We've never even been reported by the Better Business Bureau; see for yourself at: http://search.bbb.org/

FACT: The FTC report being touted by this individual as proof that we are crooks (please see http://www.ftc.gov/os/2002/03/discreetdatacmplnt.pdf) relates to Discreet Data SYSTEMS (not RESEARCH) in 2002 as a result of SYSTEMS abusing the newly passed Gramm-Leach-Bliely Act (GLB) which forbids pretexting to gain information on bank accounts. The Defendant, Paula Garret, paid a $1300.00 fine and closed her business. Our company has never had a relationship with Discreet Data SYSTEMS. Period.

FACT: Discreet Data RESEARCH purchased the domain name for Discreet Data SYSTEMS in 2005 however the name Discreet Data was first used by us originally in 1995. Paula Garret chose a similar name in 1999.

FACT: As we posted earlier the payment made to Discreet Data Research was made via PayPal with an Unverified Address. Mrs. Stark (or whoever she claims to be) indicated to us that it was made with a Pre-Paid Credit Card. Then, by her own admission, she notified PayPal that her (new & unverified) account had been misused and PayPal initiated an investigation and froze the funds until it can sort the matter out. This may take up to 10 days or so so by May 25th she should either get her refund if she is the real owner of the account or the actual owner of the account will receive their money back.

IN CLOSING we'll make this challenge to ALL of the sites we've listed:
POST the proof of your claims. Talk is CHEAP.
Post your supporting information within 24 hours of this notice. Links, case number, jurisdictions, etc ANYTHING.
NAME Names.
Provide case numbers (these are public records and can easily be verified by anyone reading this garbage).

If you are unable to back up your claims you are doing a disservice to RipOffReport.com you cheapen their product and dilute their credibility by prostituting your false claims on their website thereby sullying those that rely on this fine website to post their legitimate claims.

Again, THANK YOU RipOffReport.com for allowing us to give balance to these posts. The two blog sites mentioned locked any comment out when questions regarding proof to substantiate their claims went unanswered it appears Mrs. Stark couldn't produce anything to support her stories.

And ANOTHER Thing....

AUTHOR: Charles - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2007

"Roberta Stark" appears to have TWO different addresses on this blog.
Scan up a ways and you'll see that first she's in Beverly Hills when she writes her "original" complaint, then, scroll down to the post entitled "HARASSING EMAILS FROM DISCREET DATA" - the one with the doctored, fake email.
Notice that "Roberta" now lives in Newport Beach.

But wait... look under the post entitled "INTERNET FRAUD" - this is posted by "Roberta M (not the author of this report) - Newport, California"

Coincidence?
Make up your own mind.

Finally - look at all of these posts - from Utah, Maine, etc, etc, - they ALL spell and talk alike - they're either the SAME person or they're a bunch of people who haven't quite mastered the English language and all suffer from the same bad puncuation and grammar skills.

On their other two blog sites there are claims that the FBI is monitoring these posts/threads - Geesh! - what a bunch of BS!.
There's no story here - just a hysterical person crying out for attention.

She should be ashamed of herself.

FBI confirmed discreet data does prison time

AUTHOR: Renee - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2007

It is confirmed from the legal authorities that discreet data has done prison time for internet fraud and stealing money from senior citizens. Rip off report just emailed me discreet data's IP address and also confirmed that discreet data is making up numerous alias rip off report nicknames and to defend themself.

They did not fool a judge when the judge ordered him to do time in prison in 2006 for defrauding the public from their website www.discreetdata.com and they won't fool the public any more either. I was emailed their IP address and Internet service providor(ISP) which is pacbell.net and they have DSL. Their IP address they use are 69.231.10.41 and 68.120.231.39
adsl-68-120-231-39.dsl.irvnca.pacbell.net

The FBI is watching this fraud online private investigator company very closely. They are online scam artists who steal identity's through their website at www.discreetdata.com and now they are online fraudently using alias identies on public forums. They already did prison time for internet fraud and credit card theft.

this company also stole my identity and charged my credit card after I paid them via credit card to do a skip trace and locate my ex husband because he is a dead beat dad. Discreet data research DBA www.discreetdata.com does not have a private investigator license and are not legally able to do business. They have no business license. Both their business and private investigator license is suppose to be listed on their website. They are a fraud company that is online to entice innocent people into giving out their credit card information so they can steal your identity. The owner of this website did time in jail for internet fraud back in 2006. Do not let him do the same thing to you what he did to me and numerous others.

If "discreet data research" was a legitimate company, then they would have paid back the senior citizen Mrs. Stark's money and not make her go through paypal and wait for the refund. He is a con-artist with a criminal record.

UPDATE - Website monitors for Rip-off Report confirm rebuttals posted are by same person posing as different people

Note:
Rip-off Report monitors would not let this rebuttal go thru if it were not the truth.

After my last Post my concerns were confirmed by Rip-Off Report:

"You are correct - and you can quote us as telling you that, the following titles were filed by the same computer posing as different people -

1.Discreet Data
2.INTERNET FRAUD
3.Do not do business with discreet data

This whole Report against DiscreetData now smells even stronger.

This is a pretty bogus complaint.
Moral: Don't believe every rant you read.

Thanks Rip-Off Report Monitors for catching those similarities!

discreet data is using fake nicknames to write about themselves

AUTHOR: Fred - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 13, 2007

Now this fraud internet fake private investigator website that goes by the name of www.discreetdata.com is making up fake nicknames on ripoffreport.com in defense of himself. They have nothing better to do with their time than to harass a nice senior citizen who's uncle just died. Roberta is a nice lady. Discreet data has a criminal record for online fraud and they have done time in jail for credit card fraud. Now they are online lying, cheating and stealing from senior citizens that order from their website.

They are are a fraud company. They will murder their money for $45.00. Just like they stole the money from Mrs. Roberta Stark. The police have informed us that discreetdata.com is using an alias on this website in their own defense and they have a history of abusing senior citizens from their website discreetdata.com Their IP address is 69.231.10.41 and this is the same IP address that that was used to post their other posts which they signed www.discreetdata.com and which was used to send the harassing emails to the senior citizen Mrs. Stark.

Is This is a bad joke or what?

AUTHOR: Charles - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 13, 2007

OK - let's review this whole bogus "complaint".

Is it me or has anybody else noticed that all of the "Consumer Comments" sound vaguely familiar?
Like maybe they were all written by the SAME PERSON?

This appears to be a feeble attempt at extortion or malicious persecution by "Roberta" who's gotten herself in a jam because she probably misused someone elses PayPal account - OR she filed a fraud report on her OWN account and now the funds are frozen and she can't get her $45.00 back.

The email attributed to be from Discreetdata is BOGUS too: look at the ">" in the message - this is not an original email. Why is ther no email recipient?

Hey "Fred" in Austin Texas: How come you sound so much like "Roberta"? Also - if you were being harassed by someone like this wouldn't you want to provide proof by posting their emails? YOU BET YOU WOULD! Also - read the PayPal email carefully - the PayPal account for Discreetdat is not frozen -just this ONE transaction - and that's because "Roberta" froze her own accounts.

Hey "Roberta M (not the author of this report) - Newport, California" - How come you sound so much like the author too? I mean - you repeat everything in the same jumbled English as she and "Fred" do.
Coincidence?

Hey "Larry - Portland, Maine" - did you read the PayPal emails? Well read them again! Whoever owned the account is claiming that someone else is using the account without their permission - but your wife is claiming she filed the fraud report. And.. why aren't you with your wife who is "crying her eyes out"? What kind of a husband are you?

OK - Here's how this will play out people (that's you "Roberta" aka Fred and Roberta M and Larry"- once PayPal finishes its inverstigation it will either give a refund to Roberta. (Or not) - it is up to them now - NOT DiscreetData.

Discreetdata cannot give a refund because the funds are currently FROZEN.

End of story.

Do not give discreet data at www.discreetdata.com your credit card number or do business with them. They will steal your identity and charge your card. They are thiefs and dishonest. Discreet data has been charged in the past with fraud and it looks like they are at it again. They are dishonest. Their website is www.discreetdata.com
They send customers death threats in emails. Then they steal their identity by stealing their credit card information.

Discreet data is showing their true colors on the public internet

AUTHOR: Fred - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 13, 2007

It looks like discreet data is mad that their paypal account has been frozen because they fraudently charged this couples credit card and the couple filed fraud charges against discreet data. I certainly will NOT be doing any business with discreet data after they posted the customers personal emails her and her husband sent to them. It says on discreet datas website that all emails are confidential. But discreet data violated their own terms of service and posted on here personal information about the customer. If I were that customer, I would sue discreet data. It won't be the first time an online FRAUD private investigator website has been sued. Discreet data www.discreetdata.com has been sued before for fraud because of their unprofessional emails and giving out personal information of their customers.

Clarification of this incident

AUTHOR: Disc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 13, 2007

Discreet Data Research did not instigate this research request. It was instigated by the author of this post.As per our contact via PayPal with her request:
-------
Amount: $45.00 USD
Transaction ID: 22H36098UK66****
Subject: Telephone number search.
Note: Will you accept this paypal payment for locating a brand new number please? I filled out the form and emailed to you from your website.
-------
We accepted payment ONLY AFTER we provide her accurate information pertinent to her request; she alone decided that the information wasn't what she wanted. (Buyers Remorse?)

SHE complained to PayPal - claiming FRAUDULENT use of her newly opened account which caused PayPal to freeze the account pending further investigation. She is now ADMITTING (to us) that SHE filed the FRAUDULENT report about use of her account:
----------
Date Sat, 12 May 2007 5:47:17pm
From service@paypal.com
To Discreet Data Research
Reply-to pending_reversal@paypal.com
Subject PayPal Notification: Temporary Hold Pending Investigation (Routing Code: C840-L001-Q410-*****)

Dear Discreet Data Research,

Recently, PayPal received a notification from a user regarding unauthorized access to his PayPal
account. As a result, one of the payments credited to your PayPal account has been placed in a
temporary hold while we investigate the claim. PayPal constantly monitors transactions for
unauthorized use of accounts in order to maintain the safety of our users.

If this unauthorized access was a result of spoof or fraud, PayPal will cover the cost of the
transaction. The details of this transaction are as follows:

Transaction Date: May 9, 2007
Transaction Amount: $45.00 USD
Buyer's Email: dragonanddogs@aol.com
--------

When we queried "Roberta" about the apparent fraudulent use/payment via PayPal. She replied:
-------
I opened that claim against you. I filed that claim with paypal against you. I was instructed by the police to open that fraud claim. You took payment from me and you NEVER sent me the number. You committed FRAUD. I already filed a police report on you. Monday I will file FTC and FBI reports against you. You are dishonest. We needed that number. There was a DEATH IN THE FAMILY!!! My family have already started a police investigation against you. This was your choice to not return the money. I asked for a new number. You did not send me one. Paypal is investigating you for FRAUD. I asked them to.

Mr. and Mrs Roberta Stark
-------
So, after shooting herself in the proverbial foot with PayPal she (and now apparently her husband from out of state) are raising this false ruckus about their $45.00 that they've claimed we've stolen.

Here's a sample of the emails we've been receiving since PayPal froze their account:
------
I MADE A WEBSITE BLOG ABOUT YOUR DISHONEST WEBSITE!!! http://onlinefraud.livejournal.com/
http://onlinefraud.livejournal.com/
------
A blog has been made about you and your company at http://onlinefraudnews.blogspot.com/
FBI FRAUD reports are being filed against you and your company.
------
I filed a report online at www.ripoffreport.com against you and here is the website http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff248443.htm You were given plenty of opportunity to come clean and make yourself an honest person but you refused to do it. Ripoffreport is read by millions of viewers around the world. Now you have FRAUD CHARGES FILED AGAINST YOU.
I am filing more online reports on you at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup and http://www.ic3.gov/ and http://www.bbbonline.org/consumer/complaint.asp and many others. You stole my wifes money. You made her cry. She did NOTHING TO YOU!!. I will also go down in person on Monday to file my complaint in person as well as online against you. You stole money from our credit card. It is in both of our names. You owe us $45.00
you committed INTERNET FRAUD!!
------

Now, everyone is entitled to their right to complain - but - do you see the BIGGER picture here? They FORCED PayPal, by their OWN admission to stop any payments, refunds, etc on their account and now they are firinig off complaints everywhere they can - all while supposedly mourning their dead Uncle - talk about your prioroties!

Finally, as to the FTC complaint they keep harping about.. This was a complaint filed against Discreet Data SYSTEMS - NOT Discreet Data RESEARCH. Read the complaint carefully - it has NOTHING to do with our company.
These are TWO entirely different entitites, a point made repeadedly to the "Roberta" which she continually ignores. Discreet Data Research purchased the domain of Doscreet Data Systems approx 3 years after they went out of business - so this part of her rant is moot.

We've kept careful notes on this incident so if any of you lawyers, prosecutors wish to "weig in" and take your shots just remember that there are alwasy TWO sides to every story - just make sure you've got your facts straight before loading your guns.

A) Discreet Data Research did not instigate the request.
B) The PayPal payment was made voluntarily.
C) Appropriate information was provided.
D) "Roberta" falsley claimed misuse of her account to PayPal.
E) PayPal is performing their "Due Diligence" so all payments/refunds are held until they complete their investigation.
F) Discreet Data RESEARCH has never been investigated by the FTC, FBI, or Mickey Mouse.

Although they are aware that PayPal is investigating this matter Roberta and her Husband Larry are now on a crusade to get back the $45.00 they have had frozen via their complaint to PayPal.

This will be our final rebuttal.
The facts are clear.

INTERNET FRAUD

AUTHOR: Roberta M (not the author of this report) - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 13, 2007

You most certainly can be charged in criminal court for a $45.00 crime. You can be charged for stealing a piece of gum. So discreet data www.discreetdata.com is not a very bright person if he thinks he can't be charged with internet fraud. Internet fraud is a serious crime. Not only did discreet data www.discreetdata.com bring all this negative publicity among themselves because they stole the money from the woman, but they also have a police record against them now because they refused to refund the money. All they had to do was refund the money that they fraudently stole and they would not have this problem and all this feedback about their online website at www.discreetdata.com

They are not a licensed investigator. They do online business fraudently. They are admitting in their rebuttel here that they charged a credit card that does not belong to the person making the order. That should be enough to make nobody do business with discreet data ever again. It is obvious that they will charge your card and lie and say they sent you what you asked for. When they send you nothing. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH WWW.DISCREETDATA.COM THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND CREDIT CARD IDENTITY AFTER YOU GIVE IT TO THEM.

I am the husband

AUTHOR: Larry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 13, 2007

I am Robert Stark. And my wife is a very good person. Discreet Data stole money from her credit card. Discreet Data was given the opportunity to refund the money or else we are going to file police and fraud reports on them. They refused to refund the money. They continue to email both my wife and myself harassing emails and call us names.

There was a death in our family and we paid www.discreetdata.com to get a telephone number of my wifes uncle. As he needed to be aware of the death. Discreet data took our money and he never sent us the number. My wife filed a fraud report with paypal against discreet data of www.discreetdata.com because he refused to refund the money. My wife is the one that filed that report against discreet data. But discreet data is so dishonest that they now come on here and try to turn this around. Paypal is sticking up for my wife. They don't like fraud and discreet data committed fraud.

My wife filed the fraud charges on discreet data with paypal. She filed. Her credit card is hers. It is her account and her money. I am also filing a defamation suit against discreet data for lying on this website and making false claimes about my wifes credit card. Discreet data said publicy that my wife is using a dead person ID. THAT IS FALSE!!

discreet data was given the opportunity to refund the $45.00 in advance before the internet posts. Discreet data commented on numerous blogs which I made about this case online. Then he calls my wife names on this website after he steals our money. Discreet data is not honest. They are very bad people. My wife is crying with tears. Her uncle died and discreet data is adding to her pain. I hope he suffers like he made my wife suffer. Discreet data did all this to steal $45.00 from a family who just had a death in the family. Discreet data is disgusting human beings. They thrive on stealing money from people in need.

FBI POLICE REPORTS FILED ON DISCREET DATA

AUTHOR: Roberta - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 13, 2007

www.discreetdata.com is very dishonest. I am glad that discreet data commented to this thread, because the police will follow up on this. They fraudently charged my credit card $45.00 and never delivered the product. I filed FRAUD charges with paypal agains discret data. And FBI and FTC charges are also being filed against him.

If discreet data claims that they are taking payments from an unauthorized account, then they are committing FRAUD. They admitted to accepting payment from an unauthorized credit card.

Police will look at this and anybody who is planning on doing business with discreet data should avoid them. THey will only STEAL your money and not deliver what you paid for.

There was a death in my family. My uncle died and we needed to get into touch with him. My husband Robert and myself contacted Discreet Data and paid him with paypal. Discreet data stole our money and NEVER sent us what we paid for.

We had to file a police report on discreet data. There are already numerous FTC and FBI reports filed on this company already. They are operating under false aliases. They are not a licensed private investigator firm. They have NO license. They steal peoples money after you pay them. They were emailing my husband and myself hate emails calling us names and cursing.

We are both senior citizens and my husband is handicap. There was a death in the family and discreet data are horrible people. They take advantage of people in need.

They are horrible. Do yourself a favor and don't ever do business with them.

POSTED: Saturday, May 12, 2007

The person posting this complaint is upset because we provided her with results that she could not accept; a family member is avoiding her and has taken unique steps to avoid her being able to contact him.

However - it appears that the $45.00 that she is rnting about was paid via PayPal from an account that she was not autorized to use in the first place.

We received this email regarding her payment activity with PayPal, which is now investigating the payment made for the services she is complaining about:

Thanks for your cooperation through this process. We are continuing to

Discreet Data Research (http://www.discreetdata.com) is the OLDEST information broker on the internet (Since 1995 - look it up on WHOIS). This is the FIRST ridiculous and unwarranted complaint EVER lodged against us.

Now this individual couldn't get a refund if we wanted to since PayPal has frozen the account she used because the proper owner has reported "unauthoized access".

Note: The FRAUD charges she boasts about are BOGUS - $45.00 hardly qualifies as "Grand Theft" - and it appears the money wasn't hers to begin with.
You be the judge.
