Dish Network ripoff steals funds from credit card and slow to return funds once caugth Denver Colorado

My wife subscribed to Dishnetwork 7 months ago. Due to poor reception and lack of service she decided to cancel and not pay the bill for 2 months. Dish netowrk in return charged the cost for the "free" equipment to my credit card in the amount of $678.00..I called and got 3 reps and 3 different stories until I tracked their corporate info. down and got senior management who apologized profusely and said it was all in the contract I signed 7 months ago..I then stated that a lot can happen in 7 months and that the very small print on the contract was not adequate . I suggested they either use a phone call or e-mail notice to let people know that they were about to be billed for $700 dollars..The rep. said it was a great suggestion and that it would be 3-5 business days before my money would be refunded.This sort of tactic should be illegal.I have not gotten my refund as of yet and would implore anyone thinking of getting dish network to think twice and not!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are crooks.Charging over $600 on anyones credit card without consent should be illegal.
