The ONLY reason I agreed to switch to DISH Network was because the offer was made to me by the DISH rep that I would not see a price increase for ONE YEAR.  I have been increased starting this past June, 2010 only SEVEN months into the agreement.  When I questioned the increase, the DISH rep told me that in the contract I signed at the end of installation (which she never even MENTIONED any contract to me when I ordered DISH), that in that contract somewhere it states that they can raise their prices at any time.  I told her that with this particular offer I was GUARANTEED not to have any price increase for one year, and I had a witness with me here in my home that heard all this.  But the DISH Executive Resolution person did not care one way or the other, and only told me if the original DISH rep missinformed me, that she was sorry for the error, but refused to make things RIGHT.

Many people are being fooled by DISH.  And also, I was NEVER informed of any contract PERIOD, until after four hours of men in my home installing this system, and on their way out it was presented to me that I had to sign for 2years with DISH or pay a 99 dollar installation fee which was never told to me on the phone when I originally agreed to purchase DISH.

If you are told there would be no price increase for one year, then they should be forced to follow through with what they inform the customers.  I now wish I never left Cox Cable.  They too were increasing their prices, but at least they didn't outright LIE to me to get me as a customer.  If there is any class action suit against DISH Network that I can be part of, please let me know.

     Thank you

read contract

As a dealer for Dish Network . I can only tell people what the business rules and contract states. I don't know if you read the contract you signed. But somewhere in the contract it states. That Dish Network reserves the right to change the contents of the contract at anytime. Along with changing the price of programming. Without written or verbal notification to the customer.

I can't get the consumer to read the contract. I have tried many times to have them read it. But the last time i looked  I had a less than 1% turn off of new customers.  Turn off their equipment while under contract.

As a dealer I'm to let the customer know everything about what the promotion is they are signing up for. But i stillcan't get anyone to read the contract.

The installer who did the install was to leave you a copy of the contract with you. If you got the copy of the contract. Then i would suggest you go read it.

After being in the satellite business for 26 years is no one listens to me. Then they call Dish Network to get service work done. Then they get screwed somehow. Then they either call me, go back to cable or go to Directv . You see Dish Network only requires me to give a 6 month warranty on the install . I give a 1 year warranty on my installs.

Their are expereinced dealers out there. I have installs whereby the customer can watch all 4 DVR's  . On every tv in their home. Along with the DVD player and local tv antenna.

Your going to have to be willing to pay more than 15.00 for the service call. The dealer who signs up for the 15.00 service calls. As to be willing to drive 50 miles one way. While gas is at 2.60 per gallon. How far who you drive for 15.00 and then work on someones equipment.

I have customers who either have had Dish Network or Directv service tech's come out to work on their equipment. Or have heard the horror stories from their neighbors. They have even had calls from them and the customer told them they got a dealer to work on their equipment.  I'm only human and make mistakes. But i always try to fix them and also learn form them.

I tell people all the time. Just don't take my word go to Dish networks web site  and call other dealers. Then call me back to answer any question you have. Then  I will mail you a blank copy of the contract and  invoice for you to read.

A friend taught me  20 years ago.Their is no such thing as a free lunch. It also doesn't hurt to read and do some research.

Don't ever take anyones word .......READ
