Complaint Review: Dish Network
I have used Dish network for there satellite services for years now and I have been completely satisfied with there services. A few years ago I signed up for the Internet service they offered through Wild Blue. I subscribed to the top package wild blue offered and I never ran out of Internet usage at all.
I called Dish network to inquire about up grading my Internet service and was told that they could upgrade my service from wild blue to dish net. I would be getting all new equipment and my Internet speeds would be a lot faster. So of course I agreed and had them come out to install all the new equipment and I signed up for the top Internet package they offered.
After a few months of great service I noticed my Internet became extremely slow, like dial up slow ! So I called dish network to see what the problem was and I was informed I had used up all my usage for the month and my usage would renew on the 25th of every month. Now mind you, there is only 3 people in my home, Me, my husband and my son and our computer using habits had not changed at all from when we had wild blue to us changing to dsh net. So I was very surprised that we had used up all our usage.
i decided from that point that we needed to all cut back on our computer time , which we did. But still month after month we ran out of usage. On the 25th of every month I expected my usage to renew and when that didn't happen on the 25th one month I called dish network to inform them that my computer usage had not been renewed and today is the 25th. They informed me that my usage didn't renew until the 1st of every month. The person I talked to on the phone knew nothing about my usage renewing on the 25th. I was shocked and couldn't believe what I was hearing. Every single month like clockwork my usage renewed on the 25th since I had signed up for dish net. Now all of a sudden out of the blue it's changed until the 1st of every month.
My family doesn't download movies or music or anything like that that would eat up our usage every month. All we do is get on Facebook , check email and surf the web. There is no reason we should be running out of our usage every month, and the bad part is I have the highest package already so there is not an upgrade I can do to solve my problem. I spoke to someone at dish net the last time I called about this problem and I was told that I'm not the only person with this problem. He said 90% of dish net customers run out of usage every single month just like I do. He said the minority are the people that don't run out of usage each month.
