Dish Network Took Money Without Authorization Denver Colorado

My parents were customers with Dish Network for years. In October 2013, they took over $600 from my parents account, without authorization, when that much wasn't even due to them. They refused to give the money back to my parents stating they were going to credit it to their next bill. 

In November my parents switched to DirecTV and cancelled Dish Network. They sent a box to the house to send back their reciever. In the meantime, my mother's sister passed away and she forgot all about sending the box back.

In January 2014 Dish Network, who had my sister's credit card info on file for something else entirely, charged her card over $400, without her authorization, claiming it was for the unreturned Dish reciever. 

What they have done both times is considered theft. This is not the first time they have ripped customers off, then refused to give the money back. If one of their customers was working in a store and took more money from them than authorized, or took money that wasn't authorized, it would also be considered theft and that individual could be prosecuted.  Point is, theft is theft, no matter how they steal the money.  And a big company like Dish Network should be held just as responsible for theft as an individual would be. 

So, before anyone decides to use Dish Network, please consider the fact that they will rip you off, and steal your money without your authorization, and then their customer service to you will be horrible.
