I began my service with Dishnetwork on 01-05-08. I was promised promotional gifts which included a $100.00 Gas Voucher and a digital camera which I never received. I made contact and was given excuse after excuse about how this promotion came from a third party and I was directed to contact them. I made contact as Dish Network instructed to this third party and they passed the problem back to Dish Network. So after being given the run around I never did receive the promotional items promised. After this I felt as if I was a victim of false advertisement by Dish Network and all I could do was wait until my contract service agreeement was fulfilled and I could cancel my service. The day had finally arrived I called in the month of May to find out when my agreement was up so I could cancel my services without having to pay a prorated fee. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Bradon number JWJ. I explained to him I want to cancel my service, and I did not want to cancel too early and be charged a prorated fee, but also I did not want to delay and have it go into another automatic renewal. Which I was told happens if you do not cancel before the end of your agreement which to me is just another racket from Dish Network. Anyways I paid my last bill on May 28, 2009 and was told canceling on June 1, 2009 actually left me with a refund of $60.80 and it would be mailed to me in 2 to 3 weeks. It is July 24, 2009 and I still have not received my refund. I called today July 24, 2009 and spoke with Blair who informed me that I owed $26.67 for canceling before my contract was fulfilled. I then asked for a supervisor this time I talked to Michelle #JQJ who also agreed with my owing a prorated fee because my service contract was valid until July 5, 2009. I argued my point with not success and was then placed with another supervisor Kevin Hurley 720-514-8555 x 52501 again I explained what I was told and I have not received my refund. He too held to the same explaination as the prior two people. Supposly I will be getting a refund in the mail in 7-10 business days in the amount of $34.13 because they still are charging me a prorated fee. I believe they still do owe me the $60.80 that I was originally told, plus I think some interest should be tacked on being my refund that was suppose to of come in the month of June never showed up and here we are ending the month of July. I would be most honored to be a part of a Class Action Lawsuit against Dish Network they are misleading their customers.
