On August 11th, 2012 I signed up with Dish Network, for their current promotion, which included America's Everything Pak for $74.99 a month, they agreed to provide the service for 3-months, with the additional 9-months kicked in for completing an online survey, a total of 12-months at the frozen rate of $74.99 per month!

In so doing, I was quite upfront with the "American" account rep who signed me up, I told him in no uncertain terms that I would never allow Dish access to my checking accounts for any sort of auto-pay arrangement, period! Despite his aggressive pursuit of this I remained absolutely firm, I even offered to simply stick with Direct TV if they didn't stop with the aggressive pursuit of said access. Ultimately I was assured by him that that would be just fine, this because he had run the credit check on me, and I was qualified for the free installation, equipment, programming, ect...Of course I was fine, I'd been a loyal customer of Direct TV for the previous nine(9)years, without so much as a late payment in all that time!

I was assured that the rate of $74.99 was guaranteed! Just this past Saturday(8/11/12)the Dish technician arrived and easily converted my service, however, he would not assist me with what he assured me was now just a "registration" in claiming my bonus of locked in payments of $74.99 for the full year. He offered that he was just too busy! Nonetheless, he told me that Dish CS would help me collect the online bonus.

Today(Wed 8/15/12)I recieved a letter from Dish, or rather some shady reporting agency, in which they opined that they regretted that I was not fully qualified for their very best equipment, they actually said that I was "not approved" for whatever reason, with no mention of just what it was that I was supposedly not approved for! However, I immediately saw through their subterfuge, a classic bait & switch fraud had just occurred, with me as the target!

Nonetheless, later this afternoon(evening)I contacted Dish customer service, with the dual intentions of claiming my "ahh" online bonus, and an explanation for the troubling letter, which I already knew would not be forthcoming. Not surprisingly, now that they had my first months payment, and my nine years of faithful Direct TV customer loyaty terminated, I didn't get an American, rather I got the heavy philipino accented customer service reps reserved for "existing customers," I believe that this is intentionally done to beat down your resistance, to make it a very imposing task to "get" an answer, one way or another, indeed, all I got out of them was repeated offerings of "I understand" as they continually transferred me around for over 96 minutes!

What took place in those 96 minutes was an attempt to defraud me, the so-called online survey, registration thing, was now an agreement for these bastards to have unfettered access to my checking accounts, agree to auto-pay or else! The entire agreement I had entered into with the company, through its account rep just a week or so ago, was a complete sham. He had lied repeatedly to me, he had blatantly misrepresented the promotion, knowing all along that the only way to recieve it was to agree to allow them access to your checking account, something that I had at least a half dozen times, assured him that I would never under any circumstances agree too!

During those 96 minutes, I was transferred to seven different CS reps, all lied to me, especially when I demanded to be transferred to a USA located supervisor, I was kept on hold for varying amounts of time as they tried to grind me, eventually a philipino in Manilia identifying himself as Carlos, in Columbus Ohio came on the line. I explained to him that my technology had id'd his location as the philipines, not Columbus Ohio USA, his response was to immediately hang up in my face, after 96 minutes of BS!

Let me explain something so whomever lands upon this report understands perfectly what was/is at work here, it was no accident that the very first rep, the one who originally signed me up, lied through his teeth to me, it was no accident, or act of an unsavory individual, it was all done very intentionally. They aggressively go after Direct TV accounts, which is what they did with me, they know that once you replace the one with the other, you're SOL, and they proceed upon the assumption that they have you now, whether you wish to be had or not!

You see it was all fraud, they came into my home, lied to me repeatedly, brokered an aggreement that they never intended to honor, the objective being to get me to terminate my Direct TV service, making me vulnerable to their scheme, in which I had now effectively cornered myself for them! The idea being, "where you going to go now sucker?"

Right to my attorneys office, where I am going to sue the s**t out of them for this spectacularly brazen bait & switch fraud.

I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the services we've provided you.  Credit Card Auto Pay is a requirement to qualify for the online bonus.  The full list of requirements along with a link to our website where these can be found are below:

Programming Package Credits and Online Bonus Redemption. Programming Package credits: requires a 24-month Agreement and qualifying programming. Must maintain qualifying programming to receive all credits. Upfront credit: Receive an Upfront credit for each of the first 12 months after service activation. Online Bonus Credit: With service activation through www.dish.com, receive an Online Bonus credit for each of the first 12 months after activation. For service NOT activated through www.dish.com, you must redeem online at mydish.com/getonlinebonus within 45 days, agree to continuous enrollment in AutoPay with Paperless Billing and opt in to the DISH E-Newsletter. I do agree it does sound as though there was some confusion regarding the online bonus and I will be more than happy to look into this further for you to see what can be done to resolve this. Furthermore we have an option called onshore routing that will make it so that most of the time you call in you will receive an American agent.
