 We ordered Dishnetwork and had it for 16 months, over that 16 months we had several problems with our service and I had made numerous calls to dish about this.  At one point we had to have a new box brought out to our house.  We had block buster and we couldn't watch half the movies because they would stop and buffer and just sit there.  Or we would pick and movie and the screen would go black.  I called on both those problems I don't know how many times and they would try different things and say that should fix the problem??? No it never did.  We didn't want to cancel because of the early termination fee.  So we stayed and continued to have problems. 

Finally one day we had had enough.  And we decided to cancel.  Well, they tried to get us to stay and I said no, we have had too many problems and we are tired of it.  And I told them at that point that I was not going to pay anything for the early termination fee. 

Well the other day I get a letter in the mail, stating that on the 19th of June they are going to charge my debit card $140.00 for the early termination fee.  Now first of all with only having 7 months left should it really be 140.00?  That seems really high to me.  So when I called and talked to a supervisor Karen, she informed me that is you just sign up and want to cancel it is $450.00??? WHAT??????  That is a ripoff!!!!!!

She was unwilling to work with me at all about it.  Even though we were unhappy about our service she was kind of rude and said well this is a binding contract and we will charge your card no matter what.  I called my bank and said what if I cancel that card and get a new one, and they told me that dish can still charge my new card?  How is that possible?  That is illegal.

They need to be stopped.  My stepson had them, and they put his dish up when there wasn't any leaves, when the leaves came out he lost signal, he called them and they charged him 100.00 to move the dish, which was there fault for not putting it in the right place the first time.

They are the biggest ripoff company I haven't ever dealt with.
