Responded to "24mo dishnetwork $24.99" ad by satellite solutions network (agent of DishNetwork); fine print at bottom says $24.99 for 12 mo, $39.99 for next 12mo! 3 billing statement tried to raise my bill to $29.99; emailed, got bogus response that their costs had gone up, also told me that to stop "free 3mo" of HBO/SHO--which I did NOT ask for--would cost me $5 "program change fee"! Co. had previously sent postcard telling me to IMMEDIATELY contact service for FREE upgrade due "technological improvements in our system"; chat with service tech who admitted it was a bogus come-on to get customers to buy upgrade!  Company has tried to rip me off 3 times & I haven't been a customer more than 2mo! Am sending complaints to BBB, Az AG, FTC, USDOJ, public utilities commission. Will also alert Phoenix TV stations "consumer reporters" to get spotlight focused on these thieves/liars.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS!

Hello my name is Nick Franta with DISH Network. DISH had a price increase on 2/1/11 of $5 on some of our popular packages. The programming we provide is owned by other companies and our package prices reflect negotiations from our contracts with the providers. The promotional offer uses the current rate of the package for its flyers but that rate is subject to change as stated in the contract. You will never lose the promotional credits of $15 ($20 depending which package you choose at sign up). The HBO/Showtime promotion you may have received would not be subject to a downgrade fee since this is a promotional offer.
