I cannot believe they let these guys play with satellites, prepare to duck!!!!!

I just can't wait anymore to warn people about lost credit card information at DishNetwork. Here is what I have had to send my Credit Card Company because of this almost two month old, unaddressed, problem with "missing" credit card information at DishNetwork:

I am seeking advisement on a problem that is unresolved and might lead to a credit problem.
This is a retrospective based on an interruption of service by DishNetwork (for Account #8255 90 933 2782967):

On 2/3/2005 DishNetwork had an authorization held for $1.00 on my Discover Account pending an actual amount/monthly automatic payment per my agreement with them. DishNetwork shows a decline on 2/9 not corroborated by Discover. I replied by phone to an automated message from DishNetwork about a problem with my credit card. I was assured that the account was current. That being said, I noticed that my card was not billed. That prompted 2 e-mails to Billing thru the drop down menu at the Customer Care section @ DishNetwork. I received no response.

My DishNetwork service was interrupted due to non-payment. Aside from their oversight on an equipment credit that would have left me current, there was the alleged decline by Discover. They also alleged an e-mail to me.

Based on the equipment credit, they restored my service. To resume automatic payments they asked for my Discover Card number & expiration date. My response was, that information was given to them back in February. They said, without reasonable explanation, that they could not. This peaked my curiosity and the question of what happened to that information has not been explained, or even responded to, either through numerous requests via e-mails and a March 19th letter to Dispute Resolution. They also could not immediately resend the one alleged e-mail to me, which I thought was a reasonable request.

The cavalier attitude about my Discover account number by DishNetwork is scary. I've been monitoring recent activity frequently for fear that someone at DishNetwork has walked away with my account number. In lieu of a credible explanation from DishNetwork, what should I do for security's sake?

Thanx,

Gary
