Disney offered to those who bought the Cars blu-ray disk, the chance to get 1 of the 15,000 blu-ray Lighting McQueen. The offer went from November 2007 to February 2008.
What is special about this car is, that people like me, who are Disney Pixar Cars collectors, needed this car to complete the collection.
I personally filed for the offer on December 2007. On January, I send the email below to Disney (using their website) requesting status of the order. See below:

Thank you for your email about the status of your Disney Movie Reward. After you have odered there will be a timeframe when you can expect to receive the item, generally 6-8 weeks. You will also receive an email confirming once it's been shipped.
Rewards will be shipped to the address indicated during the redemption process.
Please reply to this email if you have still not received your reward in the timeframe specified and we would be happy to assist you.

Which clearly says that I will receive the car, but I need to wait for the timeframe (6-8 weeks).
After the timeframe expired, I sent a new communication to them, requesting status of the order. See answer below:

It's seems to me that coming back with an email like this after more than 8weeks that I applied to the promotion is unacceptable.
Few weeks ago, I requested status of the reward and in the answer you saidthat it was a matter of timeframe, you never said anything about availability.
I applied early to the promotion and I know people who got the car applying after me.
I am really disappointed with Disney Movie Rewards and I will never participate in any of yours promotions.
By the way, the only reason I bought the blu-ray was because the promotion,I do not even have a blu-ray player, so you can have an idea how do I feel, tricked!.

Beside, how poor is their customer service the fraud is based on:
1- They know that most of the blu-ray buyers got their product only because the collectible car.
2- It is known that they messed with the shipping, sending up to 10 cars to the same address, which was against the rules.
3- In January, my order was in progress, not out-of-stock, not cancelled. Suddenly, the day after I request status I got the email where they are letting me know they won't fulfill my order.
4- Why Disney created only 15,000 cars, when they know the demand is many times that number?
I think further investigation is appropriated. Just because they are Disney, does not give them authorization for abusing their customers.
