I ordered the ACAI Berry Maxx, but was very diligent about reading the fine print. However, I was still scammed. I sent this email within 10 days as instructed:

Dated 12-2-2008
"I would like to cancel my membership for Acai Berry Maxx. I ordered the free trial and just recieved it in the mail two days ago. I was told I have 10 days to cancel from the day I recieve my free trial. I have also tried canceling over the phone but the mailbox is full. Could I please get confirmation via email and/or phone that this will be canceled and that I will not be charged anything? Thank you very much."

After this was sent 12-2-2008 I was still charged $29.99 in late December 2008. I called and they refunded my money and canceled my 'membership'. Luckily I found this charge in my account or else it would have gone unnoticed. My best guess is that they are preying on the individuals that do not notice these charges. Because they were quick to refund without a problem.

Fast forward 6 months later to 5-18-09. I was looking at my account and came across a charge of $19.95 from DJM LIFSTYLEFIT CO M. I call and guess who it is.....ACAI BERRY MAX. I had already canceled any and all memberships back in 2008! How could they be charging me AGAIN? I thought I had resolved this scam! But once they get your account info, they will just see what they can get away with. I am now ready to cancel my credit card because of this! I would love to know how this company repeatedly gets away with this... Yes, I was stupid enough to order, but I took many measures to cancel and yet they still charge me. How is this legal???

MaquiBerry Clear is the new name for Acai Berry Maxx - Fit Factory.Com - LIFSTYLEFIT.Com

I've been continually charged by this company and have had my time wasted with no refund as I play the games of customer service.

Be advised, that MaquiBerry Clear is the new name for Acai Berry Maxx,, and all the other names they have operated under. In my own complaint, I shared how this group has moved from FL, AZ and now was making calls from NY. Nevada is the state from which they are running the new call center and they are running fulfillment out of another state which I believe to be Utah.

The reason they have fulfillment in one state, the call center for sales in another, is so that your complaint to the BBB and others can be replied to by MaquiBerry Clear that another office in another state is actually handling such, therefore the BBB closes your complaints.

On the state level, they do not work with one another.

Be careful...MaquiBerry Clear is Acai Berry Maxx whcih fraudulently continues to bill you under LIFSTLYLEFIT.COM

LIFSTYLEFIT.COM - I agree with you, they just want to hit your credit card

I have sent my own rip off report, but wanted everyone to know that I had the same experience as K8T from Arizona, only I think worse!!! I ended up with 9 charges on my credit card, and numerous hours spent trying to cancel this "service". This should not be allowed!!!
