DK Promotions - CAP Marketing & Consulting ripoff Columbus Ohio

I applied to an ad from the Columbus Dispatch for an entry level position in advertising. Being out of work, I was willing to consider changing job fields. The following weekday morning I received an email from the company:

Dear Jeffrey,
Re: Looking forward to meeting you soon. Megan

Thank you for taking the time to send us your resume. We have reviewed your qualifications and are interested in scheduling a one-on-one preliminary interview with you and our hiring managers here. Your experience and background seem to have provided you with developed sales and marketing skills.

During your interview, we will discuss our promotional sales and marketing work, account management, advertising campaigns, client base, growth and expansion, and most importantly advancement opportunities within our company.

You should also bring in a hard copy of your resume, and professional dress is preferable. These openings are immediate, and full time. Please call our office at 614-985-6850 within 1-2 business days of receiving this as we have limited positions that we are looking to fill this week. We have included directions at the bottom of this sheet, as well as our website addresses to assist you in finding our office. Please print out a copy of this letter, because Mapquest leaves out Horizon Street in our directions.

Also attached was my resume, and honestly, there was nothing in there indicating ANY sales experience. Immediately it seemed this email was an automated response of some sort. I checked the web sites listed above and the sites seemed curious themselves, but I couldn't place my finger on it. I was even more curious as to what "Direct Marketing" really ment. Here I speculated door-to-flyers (ick!). Long story short I did some online research that indicated as such, until I finally found this site www.ripoffreport.com that confirmed my research.

I am thankfull to "Rip of Report" for saving my valueable time from this con/scam any further.
