Back in November of 2008 I had a customer purchase a $ 750.00 engagement ring so he could pop the big question at the familys Thanksgiving Dinner. The ring was ordered and we were told it would take 7-10 days to get. The ring showed up after Thanksgiving 18 days after the order. The customer ordered a size 6 ring, opened the package and to his dismay the ring shipped was a size 10. The woman of his dreams could put her other rings thru this ring it was so big.

We contacted Doba and received a (RMA#) and proceeded to return the package. Several days went by and the package was returned to us for insuffecent address. We contacted Doba again, to get a true address, and a new (RMA#). We were given at true address BUT told to use the same (return merchandice authorization number). Package was mailed and received by the shipper Brittney out of Great Neck NY.

We asked Doba about the 15% restock fee and received an e-mail that the shipper was aware of the size problem and would waive the restock fee. We were told that the refund would take about 10 days.

Finally in January we received a $627.00 refund. And when we contacted Doba we were told that we were being charged 15% restocking fee. Because of the time it took for the package to be returned with the (RMA#) that was issued by Doba.

Needless to say as a new merchant of Doba I feel that they lied and misrepresented themselfs. They should have issued a new (RMA#) when we contacted them the second time. They should have stuck to the e-mail they sent saying there would be no charge for the size problem. I have no confidence in there company at this point as well as losing a customer and a possibly an invitation to the wedding. And my customer now wants me to give him back the $123.00 that they shorted him. No where on the return info does it state that if the product is returned more than 21 days later than the purchase you would be charged a restocking fee. Yet Doba is hiding behind this statement blaming the company that shipped the product.

I feel that Doba should return the fees and take a better look at there return policy and spell out the 21 day issue that is not on there return info. I have countless e-mails as well as numerious phone calls to Doba regarding this issue. And they have decided that they can't be bothered with my business, so much for this success story that they like to pat them selfs on the back for. I have also sent my complant to the BBB that they advertise that they are a member of. I urge others to be very careful dealing with this kind of company. Just one order cost me over $120.00 in losses dealing with them.
