It will soon be one year in May 2012 since we were scammed of 812.74 dollars by Dollar Thrifty Sc Autorent Srl Otopeni, Bucharest, Romania, and all our efforts to recover the money stolen from us by Sc Autorent Srl Otopeni have been without success. The problem is that Sc Autorent Srl Otopeni is an independent franchise, loosely affiliated to the American Dollar Thrifty, and Dragos Vlad, the CEO and owner of the Romanian rental car company is free to do whatever he wants. We will not get our stolen money back from Dragos Vlad, the companys CEO or from Mirela Vlad, his wife and the company manager.
In the meantime we have learned heard and read about another customers scammed by Dollar Thrifty Sc Autorent Srl Otopeni. They have also been charged from services not provided, overcharged for services provided, and scammed again and again with the notorious rear bumper scratch for various sums that doubled the cost of a car rental from Dollar Thrifty Sc Autorent Srl Otopeni Bucharest.
Do not rent cars from the company!
