Dolphin carpet was great at selling product and made sure all their needs are met asap before anything is done. We had Dolphin install new laminate floors in our home which came out great. However Dolphin does not use their people to do installs but sub-contract out the work. The individuals who came to do install puncture a pipe on the wall when installing the foot boards, we had to call a plumber right away before any damage to floors would happen and rest of the wall. After contacting Dolphin the question i get asked is how do i know it was them? vs being more open to lets get to the bottom of this together.

Roto rooter came out to fix pipe and left me the piece of pipe with nail on it from footboard. This happened back in December and when i got a call back in january the person on the phone asked if they needed to come out to fix the pipe as it had been a while and they hoped the water had not been running the whole time......WTH!!

I've spoken to Vince from the store on several occasions as i still have a nice hole in the wall where the leak happened and the repair expenses from Roto Rooter still need to be covered. All i get is a someone will call but no action has been taken, this is getting ridiculous! I have a 1 year old and cannot afford to keep a hole in the wall open for my kid to get injured while they get their inspector to come to the house...... Amazing how quickly they can take your money but not quick to respond to issues caused by their folks!

Pipes Installed Incorrectly

AUTHOR: Dolphin Carpet - ()

POSTED: Friday, June 07, 2013

Dolphin Carpet & Tile was contracted to install laminate flooring and new baseboards in Mr. Davila's home.

The issues that have arisen during the reinstallation process were caused by incorrect location of his water pipes according to all local building codes.

Our installers were contracted to install his baseboards on top of his new flooring. This process involves simply using a staple/nail gun to reattach the baseboards. Building code requires that any water/electrical lines be located mre than 6" from the floor. The baseboards we installed were only 5".  We would have no idea nor would he have any idea that the pipes were incorrectly installed in this location.

We have offered to provide him any additional material necessary for him to conduct the repair but we can be held liable for an issue that is unknown and incorrect.
