I have spent the past 3 days attempting to transfer 2 domain names from GoDaddy to another registrar. GoDaddy customer services tells me I need to get the authorization codes in order to transfer these domains, but in order to get these authorization codes, I need to first remove the privacy feature on both of these domains.

Apparently, the only way to remove the privacy feature, is to log in to DomainsByProxy.com and manually remove that option there. Unfortunately, since I purchased these domains several years ago, I do not have this login information, and I no longer have access to the email address I signed up with. To make matters harder, DomainsByProxy's email support is telling me that I signed up with a business name, and I need to provide proof that I am the owner of this business. As it was never a real business (I just filled in the name of my blog, as apparently a lot of other people with this same issue have done) I do not have official business IDs, only my personal ID, which I have emailed to DomainsByProxy. I don't know why GoDaddy makes it so easy to throw a business name into their signup form when it is clear that a lot of people run into this problem. Maybe in hopes that people get frustrated and just throw more money at GoDaddy?

The fact that DomainsByProxy is owned by GoDaddy makes it even more frustrating that I can't talk to GoDaddy support to get this sorted out. I was even told by a GoDaddy customer support supervisor that she too has been frustrated with the way GoDaddy handles privacy through DomainsByProxy and she's been there for 8 years.

While waiting for DomainsByProxy to respond via email, one of my domains has expired.

I just want access to my information so I can transfer my accounts.
