Don EPI Electric, LLC, Heriberto Perez Signed an electrical contract with me using a delinquent electrical license and stated it was not delinquent. Keeping my $1000 deposit. Orlando, Florida

Heriberto Perez with Don EPT Electric, LLC, license number ER13014230 signed a contract with me for electrical work on 10/23/2012.  At that time his electrical license was delinquent and remains delinquent as of this date.  His electrical license has been delinquent since 09/14/2012.  When I found out that he had signed a contract with me using a delinquent license I verbally cancelled the contract and asked for my $1000 back and he has refused to return it to me.  

Heriberto Perez scammed me by telling and showing me an electrical permit that he had gotten from Orange County Florida's Department of Building Safety to do a commercial job for another person.  That electrical permit was permit number E12009522, issued 10/23/2012.  He has gotten that permit from Orange County Florida, even while his electrical license was delinquent. 

Once Heriberto Perez showed me that he had gotten an electrical permit from Orange County Florida to do a commercial electrical job, I thought that his license was good.  After he failed to show up on several days and times that he had specified to do the work I decided to check his license again and found it continued to be delinquent.

I then contacted Orange County Florida's Building Safety Department on 10/29/2012 and after several hours I was told that he should not have gotten the E12009522 permit and that they would rescind his permit.  I was conned by Heriberto Perez to sign a contract using an unknown invalid permit from Orange County Building Safety Department.

I am still out my $1000 and do not know how the Orange County Building Safety Department will issue an electrical permit to someone with a delinquent license.  I have been the loser here, primarily due to Heriberto Perez, who was aided by Orange County Florida's Building Safety Department.
