I was contacted via email by Michael Belmont in response to a loan application I submitted online.  He assured me that Doncaster's goal was to help consumers who have suffered financial setbacks and have been denied credit by banks.  I received the loan documents, signed and returned them via fax. I was told that I qualified for  "hardship" relief and would not have to pay the entire collateral against the loan.   After sending a money order to process the loan, I was told that the investors required additional funds and I sent another money order.  At this time, another person named David got involved and I did not speak to Michael Belmont again. 

I expected a wire transfer to my bank within 24 hours, and when it did not arrive, I tried calling Doncaster but the phone disconnected immediately;  I sent several emails, which were returned "undelivered".  After speaking to a co-worker, I learned about ripoffreport.com and was sick when I read about other people experiencing this fraud with Doncaster.   I consider myself an intelligent person, and the loan officer Michael conducted himself in a very professional manner, so I never suspected anything was wrong until my calls & emails went unanswered.  This has been a wake-up call for me, since I sent them my bank information and driver's license number and I now am concerned about identity theft.
