MY DYNASTY SALES The young man lied to us. Took advantage of our good will toward poor children. Phoenix Arizona

A young male came to the door and told us he was trying to get points to help him go with his soccer team to London and so would we be willing to order some books. He asked if we knew of the Monarch school, which would be a good school to donate the books to that he was selling because it is a school for underprivleged kids in San Diego. We have previously donated items to this school so were happy to be a part of helping them receive more.

He asked to come in to fill out his form at the table. We did not invite him in to do that, however, he did step in the front door. He told us he had just moved into the neighborhood and that his Mom often walked their dog on our street. He also said his father was an architect.

We have had young people come to the door before selling magazines that we have turned away, but this one caught us off guard. We like to help other kids in the neighborhood as the neighborhood has always supported each other's kids in their endeavors to raise money for their schools and teams. We didn't take time to look at the order form well enough.
We're out $49 cash. Other neighbors had written checks. At least they will be able to cancel them.
