This copmany going by the name of Douglas marketing is one of the many multi level marketing scheme branches selling Kirby vacuums.  They place ads in newspapers sometimes, but msotly on craigslist saying thinbg like Floor Cleaners needed .  Whne you call they say they hav a 5 day 9 30 am to 5 pm job that pays $500 a week.  When you  ask for details they try to get you off the phone and to drive into their branches for their high pressure toatlly inflated nyumber sales pitch to become a salesmen for Kirby vacuums. They never pay you for the use of your vehicle, gas , your cell phone use, GPS devices etc to sell their products. Their is no $500 salary. It is a complete and utter outright lie.

I've never dealt with a more unscruplous 'employer" in my life that any of these Kirby sales branches. My personnel experience was with the Salem, NH branch, but every review that I have read from persons who went to work for them anywhere in the country is th same.  They  say they have qualifed leads. but all they have is people who want a free carpet cleaning and most of them are in poor neighborhoods and in homes where the owners  could never afford these over priced vacuums. The reason they are still in business after all these years is that their stainless steel high quality vacuum is a great product. ( which should be sold on the internet or in mall stores where poeplwho can afford their product could find them. ) Instead they use this great vacuum to suck in desperate out of wrok poor suckers to drive all over their states and into neighboring states, giving free carpet cleaning "demonstrations" and then use high pressure  tactics to get poor people to agree to buy vacuums that cost $1200 to $1800 , and they give the customer 3 days to cancel and most do when the bread winner and the person who was suckered into getting something they can't afford comes home to fuind this overpruiced machine in the living room.

You often go out with an experienced sales rep for the first couple weeks and if you sell any units the experienced sales rep gets the commission . the recruited employees are rarely around long enough to ever get a commission after driving hundreds of miles and beating the crap out of their old cars and receiving zero dollars...If you don't punch a time clokc or fill out a time card..guess what ..their isn't going to be a payckeck.  Every dealer owner of these franchises should be in prsion for stealing from employess and labor fraud.  The dealer gets a commission on every unit the sales reps and their supervisors sell but the new recruit reps rarely see a dime. This is why they keep posting these ads with different Titles on the ads and they post them in revolving order in cities withing 30 to 40 miles of the branch to get new blood to feed their scheme.   Someone from the Labor Board and the Attorney generals office should send in undercover plants and catch them in their fraud  and put them behind bars and make them pay every worker they expoited $500 for every week they were used plus mileage and gas expenses.
